</>What does Flag, Site & Robot Finder do?
Every flag you raise pays $100 and every lunar site you survey pays $250. They're scattered across the whole Moon, and so are the sections you left a few per cent short and the robots that stopped while you were busy elsewhere. Choose what to look for in Point At: Flags and survey sites (the default), Flags, Survey sites, Unfinished sections, Robots that need a hand, or Everything. Switch on Show Compass Markers and the nearest ones get a cyan marker on your compass, as many as Markers allows (1 to 10, 5 to start). Where Is The Nearest names the closest one with its distance, direction and reward, then shows its story. Next Nearest moves on to the one after, and Count What's Left adds up the flags and sites still out there and what they're worth. It only ever looks: raising a flag is still your job. Switch Show Compass Markers off and the markers leave your compass.
</>What is Flag, Site & Robot Finder?
Moon Sweepers spreads its extra money across the whole Moon: flags waiting to be raised, landing sites to survey, sections not quite finished and robots that have stopped working. This mod points you at them with Show Compass Markers and three buttons, Where Is The Nearest, Next Nearest and Count What's Left. It only looks, so your world, your crew and your save stay as they were.
</>Common questions about Flag, Site & Robot Finder
What does Flag, Site & Robot Finder do in Moon Sweepers?
It reads where things are and points at them; it never moves, raises or alters anything. The stories it shows are the game's own, the history behind each real flag, lander, rover or crash site, cut to about 260 characters when they run long. Flags come with their country and date.
Why do some crewmates vanish from my compass?
Your markers share the compass's 15 crewmate slots with real crewmates, filled in the order they appeared, so in a big crew some crewmates' pins can drop off the strip. In a busy lobby, lower Markers or switch Show Compass Markers off so every crewmate keeps a slot.
Why can't it find a robot I know is stuck far away?
Robots far from every player aren't really out there driving: the game works out their progress in the background, so there's no robot to check. Head towards the area and it turns up as soon as the robot is back in play and still stopped. A robot you've switched off yourself is never listed, since it's meant to be idle.
How does Next Nearest decide what comes next?
It works outwards in distance order, one step further from you each press, and after the last one it goes back to the nearest. Changing Point At, or leaving more than two minutes between presses, starts it again from the nearest.
How quickly does a raised flag drop off the markers?
Within two seconds. A raised flag or surveyed site leaves the list at the next refresh, and the next nearest takes over its marker. A section goes once it's finished, and a robot once it moves again or its problem clears.
What options does Flag, Site & Robot Finder include?
Point At
What the markers and buttons point at: flags and survey sites you haven't raised yet, sections you started but didn't finish, or robots that are stuck or stopped (dock full, bin full, no catcher, area clean).
Markers
How many of the nearest ones get a compass marker. Markers share the compass's crewmate slots, so keep it low in a full lobby.
Where Is The Nearest
Shows the nearest one on screen: its name, how far and which way, the reward, and the landmark's story.
Next Nearest
Shows the next one along each time you press it.
Show Compass Markers
Puts cyan markers on your compass, with their distance, on the nearest things picked in Point At. Only you see them. Off removes them.
Count What's Left
Tells you how many flags and survey sites are raised, and how much money is still out there.
Flag, Site & Robot Finder is a ProjectMods mod for Moon Sweepers that marks the nearest unraised flags, unsurveyed lunar sites, unfinished sections or stuck robots on your compass and names them on screen.
System Requirements
What features does Flag, Site & Robot Finder include?
- Unfinished sections are the ones you've started: more than 2% clean but not complete, found by searching outwards from where you stand.
- The robot list covers a full dock, a full bin, a J.O.O.N.A.S. with no catcher in range, a vacuum whose area is clean, a robot waiting for over a minute and one that hasn't moved in 30 seconds when it should be driving.
- Directions come as compass points from the Moon's north pole, and distances are measured over the ground.
- Each marker sits on the target's own spot, so the distance on your compass counts down as you walk towards it.
- Only you see the markers, and it all works the same for a host, a solo player or a crewmate.
Best For
- You've raised every flag around your base and want the next easy one. Set Point At to Flags, press Where Is The Nearest and walk the way it points.
- You're down to the last few survey sites. Set Point At to Survey sites with Markers at 3, switch on Show Compass Markers and follow the closest cyan marker.
- One of your robots has gone quiet somewhere near the base. Choose Robots that need a hand and press Where Is The Nearest to read its status line and see where it is.
- A crater looks clean but some of its sections never paid out. Switch Point At to Unfinished sections and the markers lead you to the ones still a little short.
