How fast can Ori run with Swift Spirit?
Swift Spirit's Run Speed Percent goes from 100, which is normal speed, up to 400, which is four times as fast, and it starts at 160. Set it to 200 in Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Ori runs twice as fast. You can change the number in the ProjectMods launcher while you play, so it's easy to crank it up for a long trek and bring it back down for a delicate section. Because speeding up and stopping scale with the speed, even 400 stays controllable.
What happens to Ori's jumps with Swift Spirit switched on?
Ori's jumps keep their normal height with Swift Spirit, but sideways movement in the air is sped up along with running. In Ori and the Will of the Wisps that means a running jump carries Ori further across a gap, while straight-up jumps reach the same ledges as before. Because Ori also speeds up and stops faster in the air, you can still line up a landing precisely. When is Swift Spirit most useful?
Swift Spirit is at its best for travel. Crossing big areas of Ori and the Will of the Wisps, backtracking for a collectible you missed, or running back to a Spirit Well all go much quicker at high speed. Keep it modest, around 150, for a brisk feel that still suits combat, or push it to 300 and beyond for long treks. Swift Spirit never touches your save, so you can switch Swift Feet on for a journey and turn it off again when you arrive.
