</>What does Rave Reviews (Five-Star Rating) do?
Your star rating decides which customers trust you with their PC, and one bad job can drag it down for a long time. Rave Reviews keeps it at a perfect five. While Five-Star Rating is on, every job you hand back earns a five-star review and your rating is held at five stars, so jobs that ask for a top-rated shop are open to you straight away. In the IT Expansion your ratings show up as staff satisfaction rather than stars, so everyone at Irratech stays delighted with your work. Switch it off and your rating goes back to what your real reviews say the next time a customer leaves one.
</>What is Rave Reviews (Five-Star Rating)?
Rave Reviews keeps your PC Building Simulator shop at a perfect five stars. While Five-Star Rating is on, every job earns a five-star review, even ones you quit, and your overall rating is held at five, so jobs that need a top-rated shop open up. In the IT Expansion it keeps staff satisfaction at its best too. From ProjectMods, the community-first PC mod manager.
</>Common questions about Rave Reviews (Five-Star Rating)
What does Rave Reviews do in PC Building Simulator?
Rave Reviews keeps your PC Building Simulator star rating at a perfect five. While the Five-Star Rating switch is on, every job's review scores five stars and your overall star rating is held at five. Your rating decides which customers will offer you jobs and which jobs you can accept, since some need a minimum rating, so a steady five opens those jobs straight away. In the IT Expansion, your ratings show up as staff satisfaction, which stays at its best. Switch it off and your rating returns to what your real reviews say the next time a customer leaves one.
Do jobs I quit still get five stars with Rave Reviews?
Yes. With Five-Star Rating on, Rave Reviews gives every job's review five stars in PC Building Simulator, including jobs you quit. So a job that turned out to need parts you can't get yet, or one you'd simply rather not finish, won't drag your rating down, and your overall star rating stays held at five either way. Only the review and the rating are affected, so everything else about the job, and about quitting it, works as normal. Switch it off later, though, and those reviews go back to their real score like all the others.
Which jobs does Rave Reviews open up in PC Building Simulator?
The ones meant for a top-rated shop. PC Building Simulator uses your star rating to decide which customers email you job offers, and some jobs need a minimum star rating before you can accept them. Rave Reviews holds your rating at five stars while Five-Star Rating is on, so customers looking for a top-rated shop offer you work and rating-limited jobs can be accepted, without rebuilding your reputation after one bad job. The flip side: once you're past the first few levels, offers aimed at lower-rated shops mostly stop coming in. To skip level requirements on jobs as well, No Rush's Take Any Job switch covers that side.
What happens to my rating when I turn Rave Reviews off?
It goes back to what your real reviews say, but not instantly. When you switch Five-Star Rating off in Rave Reviews, PC Building Simulator stops holding your rating at five, and your job reviews on Bongle go back to their real stars, even for jobs you quit while it was on. Your overall rating keeps showing five until the next customer leaves a review, and that's when it updates to match your real reviews. If you want the real challenge back, switch it off and let your next few jobs decide where your reputation lands.
Does Rave Reviews affect Steam achievements in PC Building Simulator?
It can, in Career. Each time a customer leaves a review, PC Building Simulator works out your star rating as the average of your last 25 reviews, and it awards three Steam achievements when that average reaches 4, 4.5 and 5 stars: "Customer satisfaction", "Bending over backwards" and "Customer's ALWAYS right." With Rave Reviews' Five-Star Rating on, every job's review counts as five stars, so the average can climb to those marks. If your last 25 reviews all came from jobs, all three can unlock on your very next review. In a new Career it takes about 20 to 25 jobs after your star rating first appears at level 3, while the one-star reviews your shop starts with drop out of the last 25.
