Made a bad call three symptoms ago? Refund All Evolved Traits strips the disease back down and hands the DNA back, so you can rebuild without restarting the run. Free Devolving does the same on a smaller scale — prune whatever's drawing attention and pay nothing for the privilege. And when you just want to see what maximum chaos looks like, one action evolves every transmission, symptom, or ability your disease can currently reach. Reset DNA is there too, for when you want to hand the money back and play it straight. Great for testing a build against Brutal before committing an hour to it, streamers who need the interesting part of the run to start now, or anyone curious what a disease looks like wearing every symptom at once. Greenland still won't let you in, but that one's not on us.

Gene Splicer removes the accounting so you can spend your run designing a disease instead of budgeting for one.
Does turning on Free Evolution also make devolving free?
No. Free Evolution and Free Devolving are separate switches in Gene Splicer, and neither one turns the other on. Free Evolution drops the DNA cost of every trait you can currently evolve to zero. Free Devolving does the same for taking traits back off. Flip both and you can reshape your plague in Plague Inc: Evolved as many times as you want at no DNA cost at all — try lethality early, hate it, peel it back off, try something else. Flip just one and you keep half the normal economy honest — the sweet spot when you still want some tension in the run.
Will Evolve All Symptoms give me traits my disease isn't allowed to have?
No. The Evolve All actions in Gene Splicer only take traits your disease can actually reach right now. Press Evolve All Symptoms in Plague Inc: Evolved and it works its way through the symptom tree, evolving what's available and letting newly opened branches follow on — so you get the whole tree, not just the first row. Anything your current disease or scenario locks off stays locked. Special plagues keep their own rules, and anything a scenario has ruled out stays out. Same deal for Evolve All Transmissions and Evolve All Abilities: everything you're allowed, nothing you're not.
How much DNA can I give myself, and can I take it back?
Type whatever number you want into DNA Amount, press Give DNA, and Gene Splicer drops that much DNA on your current disease in Plague Inc: Evolved. Want a modest top-up to finish one branch? Type a small number. Want to never think about DNA again this run? Type a big one. Reset DNA is the other direction — it sets your available DNA to zero, which is handy if you overshot and want to feel the pinch again, or you're setting up a challenge run with a hard budget. Both are single presses, and you can go back and forth as often as you like.
What's Refund All Evolved Traits actually for?
It's the undo button for bad ideas. Refund All Evolved Traits takes every trait that can currently be devolved back off your disease in Plague Inc: Evolved and hands you back the DNA you spent on it. You've gone all-in on lethality, killed off half your hosts before they could spread anything, and now you're watching a dead-end run tick along — press it, get your DNA back, and rebuild from a clean slate without restarting. Traits the game won't let you remove stay put, so you won't always get a completely blank disease. Greenland still won't let you in, but that one's not on us.
