That means the rifle sits next to the revolver and the cartridges, the antibiotics sit next to the bandages and painkillers, and the bedrolls have their own slot instead of hiding in a general gear pile. It makes Supply Drop quick to use mid-run in The Long Dark, when you are cold, bleeding and do not want to hunt through a menu. Pick the group, pick the item, set the number, press Give Item.
How many of an item can Supply Drop give me at once?
Supply Drop's Quantity box accepts anything from 1 to 50, and one press of Give Item hands you that many copies. For ammunition or bandages that is genuinely useful — 50 rifle cartridges in a single press sets up a whole hunting season. For bulky items it is worth thinking about weight first: The Long Dark still enforces your carry limit, so 50 bedrolls will pin you in place. The mod does not stop you, it just hands over what you asked for. If you overshoot, drop the excess like any other item.
