</>What does Dawnwing (Angel Kit) do?
Somebody has to be the nice one. A flash of light, a burst of white feathers, and you're Dawnwing: your own Wobbly in golden curls, a white robe with a shining gold halo and big feathered wings, and a flowing white skirt. Switch on Rise at Dawn to change every morning at 6am and back at 6pm, or press Change Now whenever you like. Hit Take Wing and you're off, wings beating, flying wherever the camera looks. As Dawnwing, nothing can knock you out: not crashes, not hard landings, not blasts. Friend knocked out in a pile-up? Swoop in, pop a Guardian Light, and they're straight back on their feet. Down in town, Sunburst stops every townsperson within 16 metres who can see you, drivers included, and Halo Sight shows you every townsperson within 60 metres through walls. With Blessing on, the townsfolk you brush past become angels for a minute, floating after you with shining gold halos and beating wings. In co-op, the host needs Creature Manager on for everyone's flying, and Dawnwing too for everyone's Blessing, Guardian Light and Sunburst.
</>What is Dawnwing (Angel Kit)?
Dawnwing (Angel Kit) dresses your Wobbly as an angel in Wobbly Life, at sunrise with Rise at Dawn or any time with Change Now. Fly anywhere with Take Wing, get knocked-out friends back up with Guardian Light and bless the townsfolk you brush past into floating angels for a minute. In co-op, the host needs the kit and Creature Manager on. A Halloween kit from ProjectMods, the community-first PC mod manager.
</>Common questions about Dawnwing (Angel Kit)
What does Dawnwing (Angel Kit) do in Wobbly Life?
Dawnwing (Angel Kit) lets you play Wobbly Life as Dawnwing, an angel: fly with Take Wing, get knocked-out friends back up with Guardian Light, stop townsfolk in their tracks with Sunburst, spot every townsperson within 60 metres through walls with Halo Sight, and turn townsfolk you brush past into floating angels for a minute with Blessing. Switch on Rise at Dawn to change at 6am island time and back at 6pm, or press Change Now any time. Your own Wobbly wears the Dawnwing set from Custom Clothes, once installed: Dawnwing Curls, the Dawnwing Robe with feathered wings that beat whenever you're off the ground and a shining gold halo, and the Dawnwing Skirt. Keep Your Own Clothes skips the outfit but keeps every power. As Dawnwing, crashes, hard landings and blasts can't knock you out, though a slip can still flop you over briefly. It's a ProjectMods Halloween kit.
How does Blessing turn townsfolk into angels in Dawnwing (Angel Kit)?
With Blessing on, as it is by default, every townsperson you brush past as Dawnwing in Wobbly Life becomes an angel for one minute, and so does a driver when you're beside their car. A bell rings and feathers burst. Each angel is still that townsperson, tinted a warm ivory, floating just off the ground and drifting gently up and down, with a shining gold halo, white feathered wings that beat harder as they fly along and a soft warm light round them. They glide along behind you, gather in a ring round you when you stop, and answer your Halo Sight with a note on the harp. When the minute is up they head home as themselves. Dawnwing (Angel Kit) allows up to 10 angels at a time, and switching Blessing off leaves the town alone.
Who do Guardian Light and Sunburst affect in Dawnwing (Angel Kit)?
Guardian Light is for players and Sunburst is for townsfolk. In Dawnwing (Angel Kit) for Wobbly Life, Guardian Light reaches every player within 10 metres of you when you press it: anyone knocked out is back on their feet at once, and none of them can be knocked out for Guardian Time, 3 to 15 seconds (default 6), even if they walk out of the light. Players with the kit see a soft gold bubble round each shielded friend. It does nothing for townsfolk. Sunburst stops every townsperson within 16 metres who can see you, not behind a wall or a building: they tip their head back and gaze up under a small gold sun for Sunburst Time, 3 to 20 seconds (default 8), and drivers' cars roll to a stop. Sunburst never affects other players or the angels following you.
How does flying with Take Wing work in Dawnwing (Angel Kit), and how fast is it?
Press Take Wing and you really fly: in Dawnwing (Angel Kit) for Wobbly Life you fly the way the camera looks. Looking well up or down climbs or dives, holding jump climbs, sprinting goes faster, and letting go of everything hovers you in place. Walls stop you and you can land on a roof. The Dawnwing Robe's wings beat the whole time you're in the air. Press Take Wing again to drop to the ground, and that landing can't knock you out. Sitting in a seat or a car, getting into bed or a cutscene ends the flight. Press it before you've changed and it makes you Dawnwing first. The Wing Speed slider runs from 50% to 300%: at the default you cruise at about 12 metres a second, or about 24 sprinting. Give Take Wing a Keybind in the ProjectMods launcher to take off mid-game.
What does the host need for Dawnwing (Angel Kit) to work in Wobbly Life co-op?
The host needs Creature Manager switched on for everyone's flying, and Dawnwing (Angel Kit) switched on too for everyone's Blessing, Guardian Light and Sunburst, because in Wobbly Life the host moves everybody around and decides every knockout. A guest whose host is missing either is told so when they change. Everyone with the kit changes at the same sunrise and sees the light, feathers, rings and Guardian Light shields. A player who joins a game in progress changes a few seconds after arriving, once their clock has caught up with the host's. On your side, the kit switches on Creature Manager and Custom Clothing Manager for you.
What options does Dawnwing (Angel Kit) include?
Change Now
Change right now, day or night. Press it again to change back.
Take Wing
Take to the air and fly, your wings beating as you go. You fly the way the camera looks: hold jump to climb, sprint to go faster, and let go of everything to hover. Press it again to drop safely back to the ground. Give it a Keybind in the launcher to take off mid-game.
Rise at Dawn
Become Dawnwing every morning when the sun comes up on the island, and change back when it goes down.
Keep Your Own Clothes
Change without putting on the Dawnwing outfit. You still get every power.
Blessing
Townsfolk you brush past as Dawnwing, drivers included, become floating angels with halos and wings and follow you for a minute, then head home. Turn it off to leave the town alone.
Wing Speed
How fast you fly. 100% is a brisk flight; turn it up to cross the island fast.
Guardian Time
How many seconds no friend in your Guardian Light can be knocked out.
Sunburst Time
How many seconds townsfolk stand gazing up after your Sunburst.
How It Works
Switch on Rise at Dawn to become Dawnwing every morning at 6am island time and change back at 6pm, or press Change Now whenever you like. Every power works the moment you press it: pressing one as yourself turns you into Dawnwing first. The kit dresses you in the Dawnwing set from Custom Clothes and switches on Custom Clothing Manager and Creature Manager for you. In multiplayer the host needs Creature Manager on for everyone's flying, and this kit too for everyone's Blessing, Guardian Light and Sunburst.
Guardian Light
Shine a golden light all round you. Friends nearby who are knocked out get straight back up, and no friend in the light can be knocked out for as long as Guardian Time.
Halo Sight
For thirty seconds every townsperson within sixty metres glows gold through walls, and markers show which way each one is and how far. The angels following you answer with a note on the harp.
Sunburst
Burst with sunlight. Every townsperson within 16 metres who can see you stops and gazes up in wonder, and drivers stop their cars, for as long as Sunburst Time.
Dawnwing (Angel Kit) is a ProjectMods costume-and-powers kit for Wobbly Life: your Wobbly dresses as an angel at sunrise or on demand, then flies, gets knocked-out friends back up and blesses townsfolk into floating angels for a minute (in co-op the host needs the kit and Creature Manager on).
