</>What does Night Patrol (Bat Hero Kit) do?

Every hero showdown needs two sides. If one wobbly is swinging around on webs, the other needs a cape, a swarm and a plan - and that is exactly what Night Patrol delivers. CAPE GLIDE - Get some height, jump off, and hold the jump key while you fall. Your cape catches the air: you sink slowly and sail forward wherever the camera points. Climb high, glide far. Tune how hard the cape carries you and how fast you lose height. BAT SWARM - Aim at anything and send the bats. In Strike mode they slam into whatever you aimed at and knock it flying - props, wobblies, even parked cars get a shove. In Fetch mode they wrap around a loose item - or an entire car - and carry it back to your feet, which is very handy when a challenge says "bring the thing to the finish line" and the thing is on a roof. DETECTIVE VISION - One press and the island goes full detective. Players, vehicles and pets get marked through walls with their distance, and loose items near you light up too. It runs for a few seconds, then needs a moment to recharge, so time it well. COSTUME REQUIRED - Off by default so anyone can play with the kit. Turn it on and the abilities only answer to a wobbly actually dressed for the job: the Bat Wobbler suit powers the glide and the swarm, the cowl powers Detective Vision. Perfect for challenge videos where each hero must stay in character. MULTIPLAYER, HONESTLY - Online, the host runs the action: if you are a guest, the host needs Night Patrol installed for your glide and your bats to do anything. The bats themselves are visible to players running the mod; friends without it will just see things mysteriously fly around. Detective Vision is your own screen only.

</>What is Night Patrol (Bat Hero Kit)?

Night Patrol adds a full bat-hero toolkit to Wobbly Life. Cape Glide turns falls into flights: hold jump in the air and your cape catches you, sinking slowly while sailing wherever the camera points, with sliders for carry strength and sink speed. The Bat Swarm flies at whatever you aim at - Strike mode shoves props, wobblies and vehicles, while Fetch mode carries a loose item back to your feet. Detective Vision marks players, vehicles and pets through walls with live distances, plus loose items near you, for a set duration with a matching recharge. Turn on Costume Required and the suit powers the glide and swarm while the cowl powers the vision, ideal for staying in character during hero challenge videos. Online, the host needs the mod for guests' glide and bats to work, and the bats are visible to players running the mod.

</>Common questions about Night Patrol (Bat Hero Kit)

How do I glide in Wobbly Life with this mod?

Turn on Cape Glide, get some height, and hold the jump key while you are falling. Your cape catches the air so you sink slowly and drift forward in whatever direction your camera faces. Let go of jump and you drop normally again. Glide Strength sets how hard the cape carries you forward and Glide Sink Speed sets how fast you lose height, so you can tune anything from a floaty cruise to a quick swoop. You cannot take off from the ground - height first, cape second, just like a proper caped hero.

What is the difference between Strike and Fetch for the bats?

Both send the same swarm at whatever you are aiming at; the difference is what the bats do when they arrive. Strike gives everything loose around the target a solid shove - props scatter, wobblies stumble, parked vehicles rock. Fetch is the delivery service: the bats wrap around one target and carry it back to your feet - loose props and even whole vehicles, so a parked car can be airlifted straight to you. Players and anything hinged to the world stay put.

Does Night Patrol work in multiplayer?

Yes, with one honest catch: the host runs the action in Wobbly Life, so if you are a guest, the host needs Night Patrol installed for your glide and your bats to actually move anything. The bat swarm is drawn on the screens of players running the mod; friends without it will just see things get knocked around by nothing. Detective Vision is entirely your own screen, so the seeker's secret stays secret.

Do I need the Bat Wobbler costume to use the abilities?

No - Costume Required ships turned off, so any wobbly can glide, send bats and scan from the first minute. Turn Costume Required on and the kit goes full roleplay: Cape Glide and the Bat Swarm only answer to a wobbly wearing the Bat Wobbler suit, and Detective Vision only works while wearing the Bat Wobbler cowl. That is the setting to use for challenge videos where each hero must earn their powers by dressing the part.

What does Detective Vision actually show?

One press marks every player, vehicle and pet inside your chosen range - through buildings, hills and anything else - each with a live distance in metres. Loose items near you light up too, at half the range so your screen stays readable. The scan runs for the duration you set (3 to 15 seconds), then needs the same time again to recharge, so a longer scan also means a longer wait. Great for finding hiders, spotting the last collectible, or checking where everyone drove off to.

What options does Night Patrol (Bat Hero Kit) include?

Glide Sink Speed

How fast you lose height while gliding. 1 barely sinks and floats forever; 6 is a quick, dramatic swoop to the ground.

Vision Range

How far Detective Vision reaches, in metres. Items show up at half this range so your screen stays readable.

Show Bat Reticle

Paints a small aiming dot mid-screen and a gold marker with the distance on whatever the bats have locked onto - what you see marked is exactly what gets hit. Turn it off for clean footage.

Send Bats (Fetch)

Aim at a loose item - or a whole car - and the bats carry it back to your feet. They can lift loose props and vehicles; players stay on the ground. Best mapped to a hotkey.

Send Bats (Strike)

Aim at something and send the swarm to knock it flying - loose props, wobblies, pets, even vehicles get a shove. Best mapped to a hotkey.

Vision Duration

How many seconds Detective Vision stays on. The recharge takes the same time as the scan.

Detective Vision

Scan the island: players, vehicles and pets get marked through walls with distances, and loose items near you light up. Runs for the duration you set, then recharges. Best mapped to a hotkey.

Costume Required

When on, the kit only works in costume: the Bat Wobbler suit powers Cape Glide and the bats, the Bat Wobbler cowl powers Detective Vision. Leave it off and any wobbly can use everything.

Bat Count

How many bats fly out when you send the swarm. More bats, more drama.

Cape Glide

Turn the cape on. While falling, hold the jump key to glide: you sink slowly and sail forward wherever the camera points.

How It Works

Hold jump while falling to glide on your cape. Aim and send bats to strike things or fetch loose items back to you. Detective Vision marks players, vehicles, pets and items through walls for a few seconds. Online, the host needs Night Patrol for your glide and bats to work, and only players with the mod see the bats - others just see things move. Detective Vision is your screen only.

Glide Strength

How hard the cape carries you forward while gliding. 100% is a confident hero cruise; crank it toward 1000% to rocket across whole neighbourhoods.
