</>What does AI Director (Aggro & Mood) do?
Battles here usually go one way: everything charges everything, and it is over in twenty seconds. AI Director hands you the dial. Pick a mood. Hunt Everything sends creatures roaming the map looking for a scrap. Stay Peaceful leaves them milling about until something wanders into view. Guard Their Spot anchors them where you placed them, so they chase off an attacker and then trudge back to their post like a very large security guard. Sight Range decides how far they can see trouble coming. Wind it down and two armies will walk straight past each other until they are practically nose to nose. Wind it up and the whole map is one enormous brawl the second you press go. Apply it to your side, the enemy side, or both — which is how you get one T-rex standing perfectly still while forty raptors sprint at it from across the valley. Leave the keep-going switch on and reinforcements turn up already knowing the plan.
</>What is AI Director (Aggro & Mood)?
Battles in Animal Revolt Battle Simulator usually end in one giant charge. AI Director hands you the mood dial: hunt everything, stay peaceful, or hold the ground you placed them on. Apply it to your army, the enemy army, or both, and shrink or stretch how far anything can see, so two forces can walk right past each other or spot each other across the whole map.
</>Common questions about AI Director (Aggro & Mood)
What does AI Director do in Animal Revolt Battle Simulator?
AI Director is a ProjectMods mod for Animal Revolt Battle Simulator that decides how creatures behave once a battle starts. Pick a mood from the dropdown — Hunt Everything sends them roaming the map looking for a fight, Stay Peaceful leaves them milling about until trouble finds them, and Guard Their Spot anchors them where you placed them so they chase off an attacker and then walk back to their post. A separate Sight Range slider sets how far anything can spot an enemy. Tick your team, the enemy teams, or both, then press Apply Now to hand out the orders.
What is the difference between Hunt Everything, Stay Peaceful and Guard Their Spot?
The three behaviours change what a creature actually wants to do. Hunt Everything makes it roam the whole map hunting for anything on another team, so a battle turns into one big converging brawl. Stay Peaceful leaves it standing around minding its own business until something attacks or wanders into range. Guard Their Spot keeps it tied to the position you dropped it in — it will fight whatever comes close, then trudge back to its post afterwards, which is how you build a defended bridge or a garrison that actually stays put in Animal Revolt Battle Simulator.
Can I change the behaviour of the enemy army as well as my own?
Yes. AI Director has two separate tick boxes — Apply To My Team and Apply To Enemy Teams — so you choose exactly who gets the new orders. Tick only the enemy side and you can leave a hundred raptors standing perfectly still while your army walks through them. Tick only your side and your squad holds a line while the enemy behaves normally. Tick both and the whole map runs on the same mood. This is where the daft experiments live in Animal Revolt Battle Simulator: one T-Rex told to guard its spot against forty attackers told to hunt everything.
What does the Sight Range slider actually change?
Sight Range sets how far a creature can spot an enemy before it reacts, with 100 being the normal distance in Animal Revolt Battle Simulator. Drop it low and creatures become nearly blind — two armies can march straight past each other and only kick off once they are practically nose to nose, which is brilliant for staging an ambush or a slow build-up. Push it high and the entire map is visible from the moment you press go, so everything commits at once and the fight becomes one enormous collision instead of a series of small skirmishes.
Do reinforcements that arrive later follow the same orders?
They do, as long as Keep Applying To New Units is left switched on. AI Director keeps handing the same orders to creatures that arrive after you pressed Apply Now, so reinforcements sent by a wave point — or dropped in by hand mid-fight — turn up already following the plan rather than doing their own thing. Turn the switch off and it stops issuing new orders, though anything already told stays told. That matters most on longer campaign battles and wave-based fights in Animal Revolt Battle Simulator, where fresh creatures keep arriving long after the opening charge.
What options does AI Director (Aggro & Mood) include?
Behaviour
How your creatures act. Hunt Everything roams the map looking for a fight. Stay Peaceful stands around until trouble arrives. Guard Their Spot walks back to where you placed them once the scrap is over.
Apply Now
Give the orders to everything on the map right now.
Keep Applying To New Units
Keeps handing out the same orders as fresh creatures arrive, so reinforcements do not turn up doing their own thing. Turn it off to stop, though anything already told stays told.
Apply To Enemy Teams
Include every other army when you press Apply Now. Tick both to cover the whole map.
Apply To My Team
Include your own army when you press Apply Now.
Sight Range
How far your creatures can spot an enemy. 100 is normal. Low numbers make them nearly blind, high numbers put the whole map in view.
AI Director is a ProjectMods mod for Animal Revolt Battle Simulator that sets how your creatures behave — hunting everything on sight, standing around peacefully, or guarding the spot you placed them — and how far they can spot an enemy.
System Requirements
What features does AI Director (Aggro & Mood) include?

Best For
- Sandbox builders staging an ambush who want one army hunting the whole map while the other stands perfectly still
- Streamers who want a battle to build slowly, with sight range wound down so two armies nearly walk past each other
- Creators filming a defensive last stand who need guards to trudge back to their post between waves instead of wandering off camera
- Anyone bored of fights ending in twenty seconds who wants a slow creeping approach rather than an instant everything-charges-everything scrap
