How does the XP Multiplier work?
The XP Multiplier in Veteran Squadron multiplies every bit of experience your crew earns in Bomber Crew, with 1.0 being the normal game. At 2.0 each debrief pays out double, at 5.0 a single good mission can push a crewman through several levels, and at 10.0 a rookie is a veteran by the end of the week. Because it scales what you actually earn, the crew still levels by flying missions, shooting down fighters and hitting targets; they just get more for it. That makes it the option for players who like watching the crew grow but want the growth to keep pace with the campaign's difficulty, rather than the instant jump of Max Out All Crew.
What is the difference between Give XP To All Crew and Max Out All Crew?
Give XP To All Crew hands the number in the XP Amount field to every active crewman in Bomber Crew, added to both their primary and their secondary skill. It is a measured boost: type a modest amount and everyone jumps a level or two; type a big one and they jump further. Max Out All Crew skips the arithmetic and takes every active crewman straight to the top of both skill trees in one press, unlocking every ability at once. Use Give XP when you want to accelerate the crew but keep some progression ahead of you, and Max Out when you want a squadron of aces immediately. Both work at the airbase in Veteran Squadron and the crew quarters update straight away.
Does Veteran Squadron affect recruits I hire later?
Veteran Squadron works on your active crew in Bomber Crew, meaning the crewmen currently assigned to the bomber, at the moment you press a button. Give XP To All Crew and Max Out All Crew apply to everyone on the aircraft right then, so a recruit you hire afterwards arrives as a normal rookie until you press the button again with them on board. The XP Multiplier is different: it is a setting rather than a button, and it multiplies what every crewman earns from each debrief, new recruits included, for as long as it is switched on. So for a steady campaign, set the multiplier and forget it; for an instant reshuffle after hiring, press Max Out All Crew once more.
Can I undo it and go back to rookies?
Yes, with one caveat. Reset All Crew To Rookies in Veteran Squadron sends every active crewman in Bomber Crew back to level one in both their primary and secondary skills, so you can relive the climb from scratch with the same names and faces. It cannot be undone, so press it only when you mean it: the mod will not remember the levels the crew had before. Gear, funds and intel are untouched, because Veteran Squadron only deals with experience. A common pattern is to max the crew for a relaxed run through the later missions, then reset to rookies and set a modest XP Multiplier for a second campaign where the same squadron earns its stripes all over again.
