</>What does Garden Ornament (Unbreakable Gnome) do?
Mousetraps, guard dogs, garden shears, a swipe from the cat, a mistimed run for the vortex. Burglin' Gnomes has a hundred ways to end a good job in the last thirty seconds. Garden Ornament takes all of them off the table: your gnome keeps every limb, keeps every scrap of health, and keeps walking. It covers the sneaky ones too. The hazards that snap a piece off you instead of hurting you are handled, so a mousetrap to the head is suddenly just an inconvenience. Switch it on halfway through a rough job and you get topped straight back up to full instead of limping home on a sliver. Playing with friends? Turn on Protect the Whole Crew and everyone gets the same treatment. Whoever opens the lobby is the one who turns this on, so your friends don't need to install anything. One deliberate exception: fall right out of the world and the game still resets you, because floating in the void forever is not a feature.

</>Common questions about Garden Ornament (Unbreakable Gnome)
What does Garden Ornament do in Burglin' Gnomes?
Garden Ornament makes your gnome unbreakable in Burglin' Gnomes. Mousetraps, guard dogs, garden shears, a swipe from the cat, a mistimed dash for the vortex - none of them take you down, and none of them take a bite out of your health. There's a second switch, Protect the Whole Crew, that extends the same treatment to every gnome in the lobby instead of just yours. Whoever opens the lobby is the one who turns it on, so your friends don't need to install anything to get the benefit of it.
Does Garden Ornament stop hazards that snap a limb off?
Yes, and those are the ones people usually get caught by. Burglin' Gnomes has hazards that don't just hurt you - they take a piece off you, which normally ends a job just as firmly as running out of health. Garden Ornament covers those too, so a mousetrap to the head becomes an inconvenience rather than a limp home with one arm and half a haul. Between that and the health side, the practical effect is that nothing inside the house can stop your gnome walking, whatever it throws at you.
What does Protect the Whole Crew do?
It widens Garden Ornament from your own gnome to every gnome in the Burglin' Gnomes lobby. Leave it off and you're the only unbreakable one, which is handy if the rest of the crew want the tension left intact. Turn it on and nobody in the house can be taken down, which is the setting for a night of pure looting or for showing a new player around without them going down in the hallway twice. Whoever opens the lobby is the one who flips it, and everyone else installs nothing at all.
Does Garden Ornament heal a gnome that is already hurt?
It does. Switch Garden Ornament on halfway through a rough Burglin' Gnomes job and you get topped straight back up to full rather than continuing on the sliver of health you had left. That means you can play a house honestly, get badly mauled by the dog on the landing, and then decide you've had enough of that particular evening - the mod picks you up from wherever you are. It keeps working from that point on too, so it isn't a one-off top-up; nothing in the house can chip you down again.
Is there anything Garden Ornament doesn't protect you from?
One deliberate exception: fall right out of the world and Burglin' Gnomes still resets your gnome. Floating in the void forever is not a feature, so that particular reset is left alone on purpose. Everything inside the house and garden is covered - traps, pets, tools, wildlife and damage of every kind - and the hazards that break a piece off you are handled as well. If you manage to leave the world entirely - flying about with Chimney Drifter, say - expect the game to collect you. That's the game keeping you playable, not the mod falling over.

System Requirements
What features does Garden Ornament (Unbreakable Gnome) include?
- Walk off every mousetrap, dog bite, cat swipe and pair of garden shears in the house.
- Covers the nasty hazards that snap a piece off your gnome instead of just hurting you.
- Switch it on mid-job and you're topped straight back to full instead of limping home.
- Protect the Whole Crew looks after every gnome in the lobby, and only the host needs it on.
- Falling clean out of the world still resets you, because floating in the void forever is not fun.
Best For
- Players who keep losing a perfect haul to a mousetrap in the last thirty seconds.
- New gnomes learning a house layout who would rather explore it than respawn in it.
- Hosts shepherding a crew of first-timers with Protect the Whole Crew switched on.
- Streamers showing a map off without a guard dog ending the segment mid-sentence.
- Anyone who fancies taking the dog bite on the chin and dragging the wardrobe out anyway.
