Working out where a bottle goes is the satisfying part. Carrying it there and lining it up in its numbered slot, bottle after bottle, is the part Cellar Sweep takes off your hands. Shelve What I'm Holding sends everything in your hands to its own spot, wherever you're standing. Sweep Radius, from 2 to 30 metres (8 to start), sets how far Shelve Bottles Near Me reaches. That button collects every loose bottle in range, plus any sitting in the wrong slot on a rack, nearest first. Shelve The Whole Cellar runs the developer's own finishing tool on everything that's still out of place.

Most of a Cellar Keeper run is carrying bottles to the right rack and lining them up by number. Cellar Sweep does that part: Shelve What I'm Holding empties your hands into the right spots, Shelve Bottles Near Me tidies everything loose or misplaced within Sweep Radius, and Shelve The Whole Cellar finishes the lot. Bottles already in their spot are never moved, and Speedrun or Hardcore runs that use it are kept off the leaderboards.

What does Cellar Sweep do in Cellar Keeper?
It does the carrying. Instead of walking every bottle to its cabinet and finding its numbered slot, you press a button and the bottles go there on their own: the ones in your hands, the ones around you, or every bottle still out of place.
Why did the note say some bottles have no free spot?
Because the spot each one belongs in is taken. A bottle only ever goes into its own numbered slot on a rack for its wine, and if a wrong bottle is sitting there, or every rack for that grape already belongs to another wine, Cellar Sweep leaves it where it was (in your hands, if that's where it started). Each bottle gets one try per press. If the blocker was a misplaced bottle that the same press moved, press again and the rest go in.
Do racks finished this way still pay out?
Yes. A rack Cellar Sweep completes counts as completed, so in Cozy it pays its skill points and it counts toward the rack achievements, same as a rack you filled by hand. Speedrun and Hardcore don't award skill points to begin with, so there's nothing to miss there.
What happens if I pause halfway through a sweep?
The sweep waits. Bottles still in the queue stay put while the pause menu is open and carry on into their slots when you resume. The buttons need you to be playing, though: a press made while the game is paused won't start a sweep, and if the launcher tells you to load into your cellar first, that's why. Close the menu and press again.
Does one press keep a Speedrun run off the leaderboard?
Yes, if it moves anything. In Speedrun or Hardcore, the run is marked as soon as a button starts shelving, and its finish time is kept off the online leaderboard. A press that finds nothing to do, like empty hands or nothing out of place within Sweep Radius, leaves the run alone. The mark stays with that run until you start a fresh one.

- Every bottle goes into its own numbered slot on a rack for its wine, never into the nearest gap.
- Shelve What I'm Holding and Shelve Bottles Near Me fly bottles in a few at a time with the game's own placement animation, so you can watch each rack fill up.
- When the last of those bottles lands, a note in the game tells you how many were shelved and how many had nowhere to go yet.
- Sweep Radius is measured in a straight line from you, so bottles on high and low racks count as long as they're inside it.
