It stops all of them. Hard Hat Hero handles the lingering hazards in Dumb Ways to Build differently from the instant ones: a fall or a nail gun simply does no damage, while fire, poison and electric shocks are cleared off your bean the moment they land, before the screen effect has a chance to settle in. That distinction matters because those three normally keep hurting you after the first hit and put an effect over your view while they do. With the mod on you can walk through a fire, stand in the fumes in the sewer, or grab a live wire, and your bean shrugs it off instantly. Drowning, traffic, sunburn and piranhas are covered too. Only your own bean gets this treatment, not the crew.
What does the Full Heal button do if I am already down?
Full Heal picks you back up where you fell. In Dumb Ways to Build a downed bean normally needs a revive pass to come back, but pressing Full Heal in Hard Hat Hero gets you straight back on your feet at the spot you went down, with your health topped up and every status effect cleared in one go. That is mostly useful for the case where you went down before remembering to switch the mod on, since with the toggle active you should not be going down at all. It also works as a general reset when you are not running the invincibility toggle: keep Hard Hat Hero installed, leave Enabled off for a fair run, and use Full Heal as an emergency button when the sewer gets out of hand.
Does Hard Hat Hero protect my whole crew or just me?
Just you. Hard Hat Hero protects the bean of the player running it in Dumb Ways to Build, so your crewmates are still very much at risk from every hazard on site. That is deliberate: in co-op the mod lets one player scout hazards, film the build, or carry the fumes-filled section of the sewer, while the rest of the crew plays the game as intended. If the whole crew wants to be immortal, each player switches the mod on in their own ProjectMods launcher and each bean is protected individually.
