</>What does Enlightenment do?
Graveyard Keeper 2 doles out its knowledge one branch at a time, and plenty of the interesting recipes sit behind a wall of things you have to learn first. Enlightenment takes that wall down in a single press. Open Every Tech Branch hands you everything the tree teaches - crafts, buildings, town buildings and perks included - so the good workbench is available the moment you can afford to build it. Fill the Alchemy Folio writes every formula in, so the bench stops being a guessing game and starts being a bench. It goes by what your copy of the game actually ships, so formulas added in a later update get written in too. Enlighten Me does both at once for anyone who would rather not press two things. What you learn is yours; the materials are still entirely your problem. Best used on a second run where you already know the tree, or when you have a graveyard design in your head and a research list standing between you and it. Press it once you are in your save - there is nothing to learn at the main menu.
</>What is Enlightenment?
Enlightenment opens every branch of the Graveyard Keeper 2 tech tree and hands you what each one teaches, crafts, buildings, town buildings and perks included. A second button fills the alchemy folio so nothing at the bench is a mystery, and Enlighten Me does both at once. Built for a second run where you already know the tree and just want to build. Premium mod from ProjectMods.
</>Common questions about Enlightenment
What does Enlightenment do in Graveyard Keeper 2?
Enlightenment opens the whole tech tree in Graveyard Keeper 2 and hands you everything it teaches. That includes the crafts, the buildings you put up around your graveyard, the town buildings and the perks, all in one press of Open Every Tech Branch. Anything the story itself keeps locked stays locked, so the game's own quest gates still hold. A second button, Fill the Alchemy Folio, writes every alchemy formula into your folio so nothing at the bench is a mystery. Enlighten Me does both at once. It is aimed squarely at the run where you already know how the tree works and would rather spend your evening building than climbing.
What does Fill the Alchemy Folio do?
Fill the Alchemy Folio writes every alchemy formula in Graveyard Keeper 2 into your folio, so the bench stops being a guessing game about which combination does what. It is a separate button from the tech tree one on purpose. Some people want the whole tree open but still enjoy working out alchemy by hand, and others want the opposite, so Enlightenment keeps the two halves independent. Press whichever suits your run, or press Enlighten Me to do both in one go. Everything appears in the folio the same way it would if you had discovered it yourself.
Do I still need Inspiration after using Enlightenment?
The tech tree in Graveyard Keeper 2 normally asks for Inspiration before it will open a branch, and Enlightenment opens those branches for you instead of making you save up for the one you want. So the answer is that the saving-up part stops being the gate on what you can build. If you would rather keep spending Inspiration yourself and just have more of it to spend, Flash of Genius is the other premium mod in the ProjectMods catalogue for that, handing you red, green and blue Inspiration to spend as you choose. Different approaches to the same bottleneck.
What does the Enlighten Me button do?
Enlighten Me is the shortcut that presses both of the other buttons at once in Graveyard Keeper 2: it opens every tech branch and fills the alchemy folio in a single action, leaving nothing left to discover. It exists because wanting one usually means wanting the other, and pressing two buttons to say the same thing is busywork. If you would rather keep some of the game's discovery intact, ignore Enlighten Me and use Open Every Tech Branch or Fill the Alchemy Folio on their own. Enlightenment keeps all three buttons together in the ProjectMods launcher.
Can I undo Enlightenment once I have pressed it?
There is no reset button among Enlightenment's options, so treat the presses as one-way. That is worth knowing before you use it on a Graveyard Keeper 2 save you still want to play through slowly, because opening the tech tree removes the discovery from the rest of that run. The safest approach is to use it on a second playthrough, where you already know the tree and the alchemy bench and the climb is repetition rather than progress. If you want a gentler version, Natural Talent raises your crafting mastery without opening the tree.
