Auto Deposit & Auto Sell
"Your container empties itself. The trays sell themselves."

How do I install Auto Deposit & Auto Sell?
Download the free ProjectMods desktop app, then install Auto Deposit & Auto Sell for Moon Sweepers in one click.
</>What does Auto Deposit & Auto Sell do?
Every container in Moon Sweepers fills long before the job is done. Then it's the walk back, a hold of the deposit key, a press of the intake's button and the walk out again. Late in the game the Capsule Catchers fill up too, and the robots stand about with full bins. Switch on Auto Deposit and a full container goes into the nearest depot you've found, as long as it's within Deposit Range (m): 25 to 5,000 metres, 300 to start with, and 5,000 means any distance. Auto Sell has each intake press its own button once its tray holds Sell When Tray Has (kg), from 1 (the default) up to 500. Catchers Sell When Full makes a catcher sell everything it holds when it reaches Catcher Full At Percent of its capacity, 80 to start and anywhere from 10 to 100, which is what a catcher with no belt does anyway. Deposit Now and Sell Every Tray Now do the same jobs when you press them. Prices don't change: a tray pays exactly what it would have if you'd pressed the button. Switching a part off just stops it, and dust already in a tray stays there.
</>What is Auto Deposit & Auto Sell?
Moon Sweepers makes you carry every load back to a depot and then press a button to sell it. This mod hands both chores to the game itself. Auto Deposit watches your container, Auto Sell watches the intake trays and Catchers Sell When Full watches the catchers your robots fire at. It never changes what dust is worth, never touches your upgrades, and only ever uses depots you have already found.
</>Common questions about Auto Deposit & Auto Sell
What does Auto Deposit & Auto Sell do in Moon Sweepers?
It takes over the trips and button presses between sweeping and getting paid. Your full container goes to a depot, intake trays sell themselves and full catchers sell their dust. Each part has its own switch, so you can keep selling by hand while the deposits run on their own, or the other way round.
Does an automatic deposit still count for the deposit achievements?
Yes. As far as the game is concerned every automatic deposit is a real one, so each adds to Regular Customer (100 deposits), Depot Resident (1,000) and Do You Live Here? (10,000), exactly like holding the key at a depot. A catcher selling its load doesn't count as a deposit, because the game never counts a catcher's payout either.
Which parts work for me as a crewmate in a friend's shift?
Mostly. Auto Deposit and Deposit Now work, because your container is your own and the host's game takes your deposit the same way it takes one made by hand. Auto Sell and Sell Every Tray Now press the intake buttons from your side and the host's game does the selling. Catchers Sell When Full needs the host: the catchers live in the host's world, so in your game it only shows a note.
Why does a catcher set to sell at 100% never sell?
It may never get there. Robots stop firing at a catcher once less than 20 kg of room is left, so most catchers top out somewhere between 80% and 100% and sit there while their belt drains them. Anything up to 80 triggers reliably. With Faster Belts & Bigger Catchers on, the percentage follows the bigger capacity, so 80 still means four fifths full.
What happens when the depot is too far away or won't take the dust?
Nothing is deposited, your container stays full and a note gives the reason. Either the nearest depot you've found is past Deposit Range (m), you haven't found one yet, or the depot refused the dust because its store is full of unsold dust. Selling the trays, by hand or with Auto Sell, clears that last one.
What options does Auto Deposit & Auto Sell include?
Sell When Tray Has (kg)
How much dust a tray waits for before it sells. 1 sells as soon as anything is in it.
Auto Sell
Each deposit intake presses its own sell button once its tray holds at least Sell When Tray Has (kg). A crewmate's presses go to the host, like a button press. Off: press the button yourself.
Deposit Now
Puts whatever is in your tool's container into the nearest depot you've found within Deposit Range.
Auto Deposit
When your tool's container fills, its dust goes into the nearest depot you've found within Deposit Range, as if you had held the deposit key there. Each one counts as a deposit. Off: deposit by hand.
Catchers Sell When Full
A capsule catcher that fills up sells everything it holds, the way a catcher without a belt does, so J.O.O.N.A.S. robots don't wait on it. Host or solo. Off: catchers keep their dust for their belts.
Deposit Range (m)
How far away that depot may be. 5000 uses the nearest depot you've found wherever you are.
Sell Every Tray Now
Presses the sell button of every deposit intake that has dust in its tray.
Catcher Full At Percent
How full a catcher gets before it sells. Robots stop firing at a catcher once less than 20 kg of room is left, so a value above 80 may never be reached.
Auto Deposit & Auto Sell is a ProjectMods mod for Moon Sweepers that deposits your full container at the nearest depot, presses the sell button on deposit intakes for you, and sells what a full Capsule Catcher holds.
System Requirements
What features does Auto Deposit & Auto Sell include?
- A deposit made by Auto Deposit is the same one the game makes when you hold the key at a depot, so the dust lands in that depot's tray and waits to be sold.
- A HUD note says how much went in and how far away the depot was. When nothing can go in, another note explains why, at most once every 30 seconds.
- Auto Sell looks at the intakes once a second and only presses a button that isn't already in the middle of a sale, so each sale plays out as if you'd pressed it.
- A full catcher is paid out the way the game pays a catcher that has no belt, and one note every 15 seconds adds up what the catchers sold.
- Distances are measured in a straight line from where you stand, and the main Collector always counts as a depot you've found.
Best For
- You're sweeping a crater 600 m from the nearest depot and the container fills every couple of minutes. Set Deposit Range (m) to 5,000 and keep sweeping while each load goes in on its own.
- Your trays hold 300 kg across three depots and the upgrade you want costs a little more than you have. Press Sell Every Tray Now and every intake starts its sale at once.
- Your J.O.O.N.A.S. robots keep idling because the catchers sit full behind slow belts. Turn on Catchers Sell When Full at the default 80 and the robots keep firing.
- You're about to head off on a long drive with a half-full container. Press Deposit Now with Deposit Range (m) at 5,000 and you set off empty.
