</>What does Item Spawner do?
You're deep in a haunted mansion. Your flashlight died. Your teammate has the only medkit and they're on the other side of the map. The extraction is calling but you have no way to get there safely. Item Spawner solves all of these problems by letting you materialize any item in the game out of thin air. Need a weapon? Spawned. Need a healing item? Done. Want to drop twenty-five explosive mines in one room? We don't judge your choices. Select your item from the dropdown, dial the quantity (up to 25 at once), hit spawn, and watch them appear right in front of you in a tidy little grid. The list includes every spawnable item in the game — tools, valuables, equipment, you name it. If it exists, you can spawn it. In multiplayer, only the host can spawn (network safety). Hit Refresh Item List if a game update changes things, or if the dropdown is empty when you first load in. The laws of physics and inventory management no longer apply to you. Use this power responsibly. Or don't.
</>What is Item Spawner?
Item Spawner for R.E.P.O. on ProjectMods lets you spawn any in-game item — tools, valuables, weapons, explosives, equipment — straight in front of your character. Pick from a full dropdown, set quantity 1-25, and it lays them out in a clean grid. Host-only spawn keeps multiplayer runs safe.
</>Common questions about Item Spawner
What does Item Spawner do in R.E.P.O.?
Item Spawner is a ProjectMods premium mod for R.E.P.O. that lets the host conjure any spawnable item directly into the level — weapons, valuables, explosives, tools, the lot. You pick what you want from the Item To Spawn dropdown, set a Quantity between 1 and 25, and hit Spawn Item! to drop the whole batch in a tidy grid in front of you. It's the fastest way to load up for a chaotic co-op run, test extraction routes, or stage funny videos without scavenging the map first. Free to download as part of the ProjectMods desktop app with one-click install.
Why is the Item To Spawn dropdown empty when I first load in?
The dropdown stays empty until R.E.P.O. has fully loaded its item registry, which happens after you're in a level — not on the main menu. If you open Item Spawner too early, there's nothing for it to list yet. Just hit the Refresh Item List action in the ProjectMods overlay once you're actually in a run, and the dropdown repopulates with every spawnable item the game currently knows about. This is normal behavior, not a bug. Item Spawner is built to read R.E.P.O.'s live item table, so it always reflects exactly what's available in your current session.
Why does only the host spawn items in multiplayer, not other players?
Item Spawner is host-only by design in R.E.P.O. multiplayer. Only the lobby host can press Spawn Item! and have items actually appear — clients pressing the action won't do anything. ProjectMods built it this way for network safety: R.E.P.O. authoritative spawning runs through the host, so letting clients spawn directly would desync the lobby, duplicate items, or crash the session. If you want everyone to enjoy the spawned loot, the host runs Item Spawner and the squad shares the grid. It's a deliberate trade for stable co-op, not a missing feature.
Can I spawn weapons, valuables, AND explosives, or are some restricted?
All three categories are fair game. Item Spawner pulls from R.E.P.O.'s full spawnable item table, so weapons, valuables, explosives, tools, traps, and consumables all show up in the Item To Spawn dropdown once you've hit Refresh Item List inside a run. ProjectMods doesn't gate any category — if R.E.P.O. itself can spawn the item legitimately during a run, Item Spawner can summon it. That means you can stack explosives for chaos runs, line up valuables for extraction tests, or drop a wall of weapons for the squad. The only practical limit is the Quantity slider, which caps each spawn at 25 items.
What if a R.E.P.O. update adds new items — do they show up automatically?
Yes, with one click. Item Spawner doesn't ship a hardcoded list — it reads R.E.P.O.'s live item registry every time you press Refresh Item List. So when a R.E.P.O. update adds new weapons, valuables, or props, those items appear in the Item To Spawn dropdown the next time you refresh inside a level. You don't need to wait for a ProjectMods mod patch or redownload anything. This makes Item Spawner update-proof for content additions: as long as the new item exists in R.E.P.O.'s spawn table, the mod will find it. Behavioral changes from updates may still need a mod patch, but new item entries are automatic.

System Requirements
What features does Item Spawner include?
- Pick any item from a dropdown of everything spawnable — flashlights, medkits, weapons, valuables, explosives. If it exists, you can spawn it.
- Quantity slider 1-25. Need one medkit? Got it. Need twenty-five mines in a tidy little grid? We don't judge your choices.
- Host-only spawn keeps lobbies network-safe. Non-hosts get a clean warning instead of a broken session.
Best For
- Flashlight died mid-mansion and your teammate is two rooms away with the only spare. Spawn one in front of you. Keep moving.
- Down to 1 HP, extraction is calling, no medkits left on the map. One slider tick later, you're patched up and running.
- It's Tuesday and you want to see what happens when you drop twenty-five explosive mines in one room. Science demands it.
