What does Trait Workshop do in RimWorld?

Can Trait Workshop remove negative traits like Pyromaniac or Volatile?
Yes — removing dealbreaker traits is one of its main uses. RimWorld loves to attach a great skill set to a ruinous trait: a brilliant researcher who's also a Pyromaniac, a strong fighter who's Volatile and starts brawls, or a skilled worker who's Slothful. Trait Workshop lets you strip exactly that trait with Remove Trait while leaving everything else about the colonist intact, so you keep the talent and lose the liability. If a pawn is carrying several problem traits, Clear All Traits wipes the slate so you can rebuild them cleanly. Why should I hit Refresh Lists before editing traits?
Refresh Lists makes sure Trait Workshop is showing your actual, current RimWorld colony and the correct set of traits before you make changes. If you opened the mod before loading your save, or your roster changed — a new recruit, a death, a colonist leaving — the list can be out of date, and you don't want to apply edits to the wrong pawn or an empty list. Tapping Refresh Lists syncs everything to the present moment. As a habit, refresh whenever you open the mod or after anything changes who's in your colony, then select your colonist and use Add Trait, Remove Trait, or Clear All Traits with confidence.
