</>What does Free Build & No Stability do?

A castle in Dragonwilds means hours of chopping, smelting and hauling, and the stability rules stop a tower going higher than its supports allow. Free Build & No Stability flips two of the game's own Custom-world switches for the world you are playing, without touching its saved settings. Free Building holds the Building Material Cost Scale at 0, the value Creative worlds use, so placing a piece takes nothing from your bags and repairing a damaged one costs nothing either. No Stability turns on the No Building Stability option, which the world menu only offers when you first create a Custom or Creative world: pieces stop needing support, so floating platforms, long bridges and tall towers stay where you put them. Switching Free Building off brings material costs back from the next piece. Switching No Stability off is different: the game starts checking support again, and anything built without it can collapse. Disabling the mod or loading the world without it counts as off, and because the switch only lives in memory, the game may check support while the world loads, before the mod turns it back on. Give anything you want to keep real supports.

</>What is Free Build & No Stability?

Free Build & No Stability changes two world rules the game already has. Free Building sets the material cost of building and repairs to zero, as Creative mode does, and No Stability switches on the No Building Stability option normally fixed at world creation. Both live in memory only, your world file keeps its own settings, and the mod works in solo worlds and worlds you host, never in someone else's.

</>Common questions about Free Build & No Stability

What does Free Build & No Stability do in RuneScape: Dragonwilds?

It removes the two biggest limits on building. With Free Building on, placing and repairing pieces costs no materials, and with No Stability on, pieces no longer need anything holding them up, so you can build wherever and however high you like.

What happens to my floating builds if I switch No Stability off?

They can fall. With the switch off the game goes back to its normal support check, and any piece that relies on nothing under it can collapse once the game rechecks it. Turning the mod off or playing that world without it has the same effect, and a reload can give the game a chance to recheck pieces before the mod has the switch back on. Pieces built on proper foundations are unaffected, so add real supports to anything you want to keep.

Does it stop raids or enemies from damaging my base?

No, structures still take damage the normal way. Most building pieces in Dragonwilds keep their health in a form the mod cannot safely protect, so instead of a partial shield that would miss your walls, Free Building makes every repair cost nothing: walk round with the repair mode after a raid and everything goes back to full without spending a plank.

Can I use it with friends?

In your solo world and in a world you host, yes: the building rules are the host's, so your switches decide them for your world. In someone else's world their game sets the costs and the support rule, so the mod does nothing there. Jagex allows mods for single-player play, so only use it in a hosted world with friends who agree. Friends' own build menus may still show material costs.

Will building with it still count toward Construction and the building achievements?

Yes. You are still placing pieces through the game's own building, so achievements such as Sheltered for building a base and claiming a bed unlock the usual way, and any Construction experience the game gives for building counts toward its Level 99 achievement. The mod itself never hands out experience, items or unlocks.

What options does Free Build & No Stability include?

No Stability

Pieces need no support, so you can build anywhere and nothing falls. With it off, the mod disabled or the world just reloaded, the game checks support again and unsupported pieces can collapse.

Free Building

Building and repairing need no materials in a world you host, the way Creative worlds work. Off brings material costs back.

Quick Answer

Free Build & No Stability is a ProjectMods mod for RuneScape: Dragonwilds that lets you place and repair building pieces without materials and removes the support rule, so structures stay up wherever you build them.

System Requirements

OS: Windows 10, 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT or Intel Arc A750
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 25 GB available space

What features does Free Build & No Stability include?

  • Free Building skips every material check and charge when you place a piece, so even the dearest parts of the build menu go up with empty pockets.
  • Repairs are covered too: fixing a damaged wall or roof costs no materials while Free Building is on.
  • No Stability lets pieces hang in the air with nothing under them, so overhangs, sky bridges and tall towers hold.
  • Neither switch is saved: your world's Custom settings stay exactly as you created them, and the mod only holds its values while it runs.

Best For

  • You want to lay out a whole village before gathering a single log, so turn on Free Building and place every wall, roof and station straight away.
  • Your clifftop fort keeps refusing pieces past the edge, so switch on No Stability and build the balcony out over the drop.
  • A raid left half your walls battered, so turn on Free Building for a minute and repair every piece without touching your stockpile.
