</>What does Overwhelming Force do?
Some fights you just want to end fast. Overwhelming Force turns your army into a wrecking crew: crank the multiplier and every hit you land on the enemy hits far, far harder, melting even the toughest foes in a couple of swings. Turn on Enemy Panic and their whole line loses its nerve and bolts the moment battle begins. It only ever affects the enemy side — your own troops fight at their normal strength, so pair it with Immortal Ranks for a truly one-sided massacre.

What does Overwhelming Force do in Tabletop Tavern?
Overwhelming Force is a free Tabletop Tavern mod from ProjectMods that makes enemies crumble under your attacks. With Crush Enemies on, every hit your army lands deals far more damage — you set exactly how much with a multiplier that runs from 1x all the way to 20x — so even the toughest foes melt in a couple of swings. There is also an Enemy Panic toggle that drains the enemy's morale to zero, sending their whole line fleeing almost the instant battle begins. Importantly, the mod only ever affects the enemy side; your own troops fight at their normal strength. It is the tool for ending a fight fast, and it pairs perfectly with a defensive mod for a completely one-sided battle.
What do the Crush Enemies and Enemy Panic toggles do?
Overwhelming Force gives Tabletop Tavern two toggles that hit an enemy army from different angles. Crush Enemies is the damage side: switch it on and the enemy takes extra damage from your attacks, scaled by the Damage Multiplier slider, so fights end far more quickly. Enemy Panic is the morale side: switch it on and the enemy's morale is drained to zero, which sends their squads fleeing almost as soon as the battle starts. You can use them together to both break and batter the enemy at once, or separately — Enemy Panic alone for a bloodless rout, or Crush Enemies alone if you want to actually cut the enemy down. Neither toggle affects your own units in any way.
Does Overwhelming Force affect my own units?
No. Overwhelming Force only ever affects the enemy side in Tabletop Tavern — your own troops fight at their normal strength and take normal damage. The extra damage from Crush Enemies applies to hits you land on the enemy, and the morale drain from Enemy Panic applies to enemy squads only, so nothing about the mod weakens or endangers your army. That one-sided design makes it easy to combine with defensive mods: pair Overwhelming Force with Immortal Ranks, for instance, and you get a truly lopsided massacre where your side cannot be hurt and the enemy folds in seconds. On its own, Overwhelming Force simply tilts the offensive side of every battle heavily in your favour, with no downside for your troops.
How high can I set the Damage Multiplier?
The Damage Multiplier slider in Overwhelming Force runs from 1x, which is normal damage, up to 20x, which obliterates almost anything in a hit or two. It only matters while Crush Enemies is on, and it controls exactly how much extra punishment the enemy takes from your attacks in Tabletop Tavern. A modest setting like 2x or 3x gives you a noticeable edge while still leaving some fight in the enemy; pushing toward 20x turns even elite foes into a formality. Because you control the number, you can tune it to the experience you want — a slight advantage for a fairer romp, or full obliteration for a fast clear. Adjust it any time to match the battle in front of you.
Why would I use Overwhelming Force?
Overwhelming Force is for the Tabletop Tavern fights you would rather just win and move on from. Maybe an army is strong enough that the battle is a foregone conclusion, maybe you are grinding through a campaign and want to speed up the mop-up, or maybe you simply enjoy the power fantasy of watching a tough enemy fold in two swings. Crank the multiplier to end fights fast, or flip on Enemy Panic to send the enemy running before they land a blow. It shines paired with a speed mod for even quicker clears, or with a defensive mod for a battle you cannot lose. Because it only touches the enemy, it never adds any risk to your own carefully-built warband.
