"Skip the idle. Keep the game."

How do I install Time Warp?
Download the free ProjectMods desktop app, then install Time Warp for Upload Labs in one click.
</>What does Time Warp do?
Time Warp applies a multiplier to Upload Labs' in-game time_multiplier attribute, which drives tick_speed for every system — production, requests, research, crypto mining, breach timers, everything. Unlike Engine.time_scale this keeps audio and UI animations at normal speed, so the game still feels good while the simulation rockets ahead. Slider 1x to 10x. Disable to restore original pace. Pairs with Offline Tycoon to compound the catch-up effect.
</>What is Time Warp?
Time Warp is a free Upload Labs mod from ProjectMods that scales the game's in-game time_multiplier attribute on a 1x-10x slider. Every system driven by tick_speed runs faster while UI and audio stay normal, so the simulation rockets ahead without the game feeling broken. Pairs cleanly with Offline Tycoon.
</>Common questions about Time Warp
How does the 1x to 10x slider in Time Warp actually behave?
The slider directly sets the multiplier applied to Upload Labs' in-game time_multiplier attribute. At 1x the simulation runs at its normal pace, which is the same as having the mod disabled. Slide up to 2x and every tick-driven system runs twice as fast; slide to 10x and the entire simulation moves ten times faster. The change is live, so you can crank it up while waiting for a long research project and pull it back down for moments you want to play through normally. Disabling the mod fully restores the original game pace with no leftover state, since the multiplier resets cleanly when Time Warp is turned off.
What systems in Upload Labs does time_multiplier actually drive?
In Upload Labs, time_multiplier feeds tick_speed for every system in the simulation, so Time Warp affects the whole game uniformly rather than one mechanic at a time. That means upload production, customer requests, research progress, crypto mining yields, breach timers, employee actions, and any other timed system all scale together at whatever multiplier you set. Because everything moves in lockstep, the game's internal economy stays balanced relative to itself — you are not making one system faster than another, you are fast-forwarding the entire tycoon clock. That is what makes the catch-up feel like skipping idle time rather than shortcutting one mechanic.
How is Time Warp different from speed mods that use Godot Engine.time_scale?
Most speed mods alter Godot's Engine.time_scale, which speeds up the entire engine — physics, animations, UI tweens, audio playback, and the simulation all move faster together. That makes the game sound chipmunky, UI animations stutter, and menus feel jittery at high multipliers. Time Warp does not touch Engine.time_scale at all. It multiplies Upload Labs' own in-game time_multiplier attribute, which the game uses to drive simulation tick_speed only. The result is that the tycoon clock fast-forwards while UI animations, sound effects, and music continue to play at their normal speed, so the game still feels good even at 10x.
Should I run Time Warp with the Offline Tycoon mod?
Yes, the two mods are designed to pair well. Offline Tycoon handles progress that should have happened while you were away from the game, catching the simulation up when you return. Time Warp handles progress while you are actively playing, fast-forwarding the tycoon clock when you do not want to sit through long waits. Running them together gives you a clean catch-up loop: Offline Tycoon clears the gap from your last session, then Time Warp lets you skip past slow stretches in the current session without leaving the game. Both mods are free on ProjectMods and install with one click through the desktop app.
Do breach timers and other time-sensitive events scale correctly with Time Warp?
Yes. Because breach timers, contract deadlines, and other time-sensitive events are driven by the same tick_speed that every other system uses, they scale with the multiplier exactly like production and research do. A breach that would normally give you sixty seconds to respond at 1x will resolve in roughly six seconds of real time at 10x, so you should pull the slider down before stepping into mechanics that demand reaction time. The mod does not single out which timers to accelerate — it scales the whole simulation uniformly — so the safe pattern is to use high multipliers for idle stretches and drop back to 1x for active gameplay moments.
What options does Time Warp include?
Multiplier
Game-speed multiplier.
Enabled
Toggle Time Warp on/off.
Time Warp is a free Upload Labs mod that multiplies the game's in-game time_multiplier from 1x up to 10x, speeding up production, requests, research, mining, and breach timers while keeping UI animations and audio at normal speed.
What features does Time Warp include?
- Global tick-speed multiplier from 1x to 10x on a single slider
- Audio and UI stay at normal speed so the game still feels right
- Hooks into Upload Labs' own time_multiplier, so every system scales together (production, requests, research, crypto mining, breach timers)
Best For
- Blast through the early grind to get to the systems you actually want to play with
- Stress-test late-game upgrades and breach timers without sinking a real evening into it
- Tighten up b-roll for streams and videos so your timelapse footage isn't 90% waiting
