</>What does Mead of Mastery do?
Valheim's skill system is famously slow. Want decent Swords? Hit a hundred enemies. Want Run? Sprint for an in-game year. Want Bow? Pray your arrows don't fly sideways for the first twenty boar hunts. Mead of Mastery is the legendary brew that skips all of that. Open the mod menu and you get three things: a dropdown listing every skill in the game — Swords, Knives, Clubs, Polearms, Spears, Blocking, Axes, Bows, Elemental Magic, Blood Magic, Unarmed, Pickaxes, Wood Cutting, Crossbows, Jump, Sneak, Run, Swim, Fishing, Cooking, Farming, Crafting, Dodge, Ride — a slider for how many levels to add (1 to 100), and a Drink the Mead button. Choose the skill, set the amount, drink. The level boost lands instantly, the standard 'Skill increased' toast pops up like you earned it the long way, and the new level sticks in your save permanently. Made for returning players who want to rebuild a long-lost run without redoing eighty hours of grind, content creators staging cinematic combat without first-hour clumsiness, hardcore-style players bouncing back from a death and refusing to lose all their progress, and casual Vikings who just want to swing a sword like a warrior of legend without committing to the full Valheim XP marathon.

</>Common questions about Mead of Mastery
What does Mead of Mastery do in Valheim?
Mead of Mastery is a ProjectMods mod for Valheim that adds an instant skill point system to the game's notoriously slow progression. Open the mod menu, choose any skill from the dropdown — every skill in the game is listed — pick how many levels to add (1 to 100), and click Drink the Mead. The level boost commits to your save right away, the game's normal level-up toast pops up like you earned it the long way, and the new level sticks permanently. No console commands, no config file edits, no save scumming — just a dropdown, a slider, and a button.
Which skills can I boost with Mead of Mastery?
All of them. Every player skill the game tracks is listed in the dropdown: weapon skills (Swords, Knives, Clubs, Polearms, Spears, Axes, Bows, Crossbows, Unarmed, Blocking), magic skills (Elemental Magic, Blood Magic), gathering skills (Pickaxes, Wood Cutting), movement skills (Jump, Sneak, Run, Swim, Dodge, Ride), and lifestyle skills (Fishing, Cooking, Farming, Crafting). Pick one per drink, hit the button, and the boost applies. Want everything maxed? Drink the mead twenty-four times — once per skill at 100. Want a focused build? Drink once with the right skill picked. Your call.
Do the levels stick if I disable the mod later?
Yes. Mead of Mastery uses Valheim's actual skill system to apply the boost, so the new levels write directly to your character's save file and stay there whether the mod is on or off. Disable the mod next week and your Viking still has the +50 Swords you drank for. The only thing that goes away when the mod is disabled is the Drink the Mead button itself — no further boosts until you re-enable. This makes the mod safe to use on important saves: it doesn't permanently bind your character to the mod, it just gives you a tool to skip grind on demand.
Will Mead of Mastery break my save or trigger any anti-cheat?
No. Valheim is a private-server survival game with no server-side anti-cheat, and Mead of Mastery uses the game's own internal skill increase function — the exact same path the game uses when you earn a level the normal way. From the save file's perspective there's no way to tell a drunk level from an earned one. The mod also respects the vanilla 100 level cap, so you can't push a skill into illegal territory that might corrupt the save. Use it on private worlds without worry. For dedicated multiplayer servers with custom rules, check your server's policy before drinking.
Why use Mead of Mastery instead of the console raiseskill command?
The dev console works, but it's clunky for actual play. You have to enable cheats, remember the exact command syntax (raiseskill swords 50), type it correctly with no typos, and repeat for every skill. Mead of Mastery is designed for the way you actually use Valheim — open the mod menu mid-session, pick from a visual dropdown of every skill, slide the amount, click drink. No typing, no syntax memorization, no cheat-flag toggling, no console popping up over your gameplay. The mod also pairs cleanly with other Valheim mods in the ProjectMods launcher so your full quality-of-life kit is one menu, one launcher, one click each.
