</>What does Eagle Eye (Camera Zoom) do?
Wanderburg picks your camera distance for you, stepping it out as your castle grows. Eagle Eye hands you the dial. Set Zoom % and switch on Custom Zoom: 150 pulls the camera back so you can see waves coming from every side, 300 gives you a commander's view of the whole arena, 70 gets you close enough to admire your wizards at work. The mod respects the game's own camera moments - boss arrivals and tier-up transitions play out normally - and steps aside when they happen. Switch it off and the camera returns to the view your castle tier normally gets. Handy for spotting bosses early, planning a route through a village, or lining up the perfect screenshot.

</>Common questions about Eagle Eye (Camera Zoom)
What does Eagle Eye do in Wanderburg?
Eagle Eye lets you choose the Wanderburg battle camera distance yourself. Normally the game sets the zoom for you and steps it out each time your castle grows a tier. With Custom Zoom on, the camera instead holds at the Zoom % you set relative to your tier's normal view: 150 pulls back to see waves arriving from every side, 300 shows the whole arena, and 70 gets close enough to watch individual modules fire. The game's own camera moments, like boss arrivals and tier-up transitions, still play out. Switch Custom Zoom off and the camera returns to the view your castle tier normally gets.
How does Zoom % relate to the normal camera view?
Zoom % in Eagle Eye is always measured against the normal camera distance for your current castle tier in Wanderburg, not against a fixed number. 100 is exactly what the game would show you anyway. 150 is one and a half times further out, 200 is double, and 70 is noticeably closer. Because it is relative, the setting keeps making sense as your castle upgrades: a 150 view on a modest tier-one castle and a 150 view on a top-tier fortress are both half again wider than the game intended for that size. The mod holds that view steady during gameplay, so it never creeps.
Does Eagle Eye interfere with boss arrival camera moves?
No. Eagle Eye respects Wanderburg's scripted camera moments. When a biome boss arrives and the game swings the camera to introduce it, or when your castle steps up a tier and the view transitions out, the mod steps aside and lets those play at the game's own pacing. Once the moment is over, your Zoom % takes hold again. The one thing it does pause is the boost zoom, the small camera pull the game does while you hold nitro; while Custom Zoom is on, the camera stays where you put it instead of drifting out during a boost, which keeps a close view usable.
What Zoom % values work best in Eagle Eye?
It depends on what you are doing in Wanderburg. For normal play, 130 to 150 is a comfortable widening that reveals flanking waves without shrinking your castle into a dot. For planning a route through a village or spotting a boss the moment it enters the arena, 250 to 300 gives a genuine map-table view. For screenshots and for admiring a fully kitted fortress, 60 to 80 fills the screen with your castle. Eagle Eye applies the new value immediately, so you can nudge the number mid-run until it feels right.
Why would I use Eagle Eye instead of the default camera?
Because Wanderburg's default camera is tuned for drama, not for information. Pulling back with Eagle Eye means you see the second wave forming while you are still fighting the first, notice a fire tank lining up before it shoots, and choose which side of a village to approach. Content creators can pull the view wider so viewers can follow a chaotic fight, or push in close to show off module details. It also pairs naturally with our Clockwork game-speed mod: slow the game to 50% and zoom in for a cinematic broadside, or speed it up and zoom out to watch a whole biome unfold.
What options does Eagle Eye (Camera Zoom) include?
Custom Zoom
Master switch. On: the camera uses the Zoom % below. Off: the normal view for your castle tier.
Zoom %
Camera distance compared to normal. 150 pulls back, 70 gets close.
