Some costumes look the part. This one comes apart. THROW YOUR HEAD - Line up whatever you fancy and let it go. Your head leaves your shoulders and flies at it on a long burning arc, cackling on the way out. It keeps following your view for the first few seconds too, so you can steer it round a corner, up over a roof, or down onto somebody who thought they were safe. Where it lands it goes off like a dropped firework: wobblies get bowled over, bins and benches take off, pets tumble and parked cars leave the ground. Then it bounces, rolls to a stop and lies there glowing in the grass. RUN AROUND HEADLESS - With your head gone, your body carries on without it and flames pour out of your empty neck. In the Hollow Rider Cloak the tall collar frames the gap perfectly. Everything else about you works exactly as it did: you still run, still wobble, still get knocked over by your friends. YOUR HEAD IS A THING NOW - It sits where it landed as a real object. Walk over and pick it up and you can carry your own head around under your arm. So can everyone else, which is the point - a friend can grab it and run off down the street with it while you chase them, arms out and nothing on your shoulders. WHISTLE IT HOME - One button and your head lifts off from wherever it is, flies back across the island in a fiery arc and drops onto your shoulders with a flash. If somebody is carrying it when you whistle, it is pulled straight out of their hands. Set a timer if you would rather it came back on its own, and if it ends up in the sea it comes home by itself. WEAR IT OR DON'T - Leave Costume Required off and any wobbly can throw their own head, hat and all. Turn it on and the trick belongs to the Hollow Rider Lantern, which turns the whole thing into a proper costume power for a Halloween lobby. PLAYING TOGETHER - Built for a full lobby. Whoever is hosting needs Hollow Ride, and then everyone with the mod sees every flying head, every headless body and every wallop. Players without the mod still get shoved around by the landings - they just see things fly.

Hollow Ride turns your own head into a Wobbly Life party trick that sends the whole street flying. Throw Your Head launches your head at whatever is in the middle of your screen on a long, burning arc, and for the first few seconds it keeps steering toward wherever you look, so you can fly it round corners and over rooftops. The landing knocks wobblies, props, pets and vehicles flying inside a few metres of the impact. While the head is away your body runs around headless with flames coming out of the neck, and the head itself lies where it stopped as a real object anyone can pick up and carry off. Whistle It Home calls it back from any distance, pulling it out of a thief's hands if it has to, and a timer can bring it back on its own. Sliders set how hard you throw, how hard the landing hits and how long the head waits, and a costume switch ties the whole kit to the Hollow Rider Lantern when you want it to be a costume power rather than something anybody can do. It is built for multiplayer: the host runs every head, so the knockback lands on everyone's screen.

How do I throw my head in Wobbly Life with Hollow Ride?
Map Throw Your Head to a hotkey in the launcher, look at whatever you want to hit, and press it. Your head leaves your shoulders and flies at the middle of your screen on a burning arc, so whatever is under the centre of your view is what it lands on. While it is in the air it keeps curving toward whatever you are looking at, so you can fly it round a corner or up over a roof before it lands. Throw Strength decides how far it goes: 100% clears a front garden, and 250% will send it across a street and over a hedge. While the head is away you run around headless with flames coming out of your neck. Press Whistle It Home whenever you want it back. You cannot throw it twice - your head has to come home before it can go out again.
Does Hollow Ride work in multiplayer?
Yes, and it is built for it. Wobbly Life runs everybody's body on whoever is hosting, so the host handles every thrown head. That means the host needs Hollow Ride installed and switched on. Once it is, every player who also has the mod sees flying heads, headless friends, neck flames and landings on their own screen, and anyone can pick up anyone else's head and run off with it. Players who do not have the mod still feel the landings, because the knockback is real physics in the shared world - they just see the furniture fly without seeing the head. If you are a guest and the host has not got it, the mod tells you so instead of sitting there doing nothing.
Do I need the Hollow Rider costume to use it?
Only if you want to. Costume Required is off by default, so any wobbly can take their own head off straight away, wearing whatever they like - and whatever hat you have on goes flying with it. Switch Costume Required on and the trick belongs to the Hollow Rider Lantern: put the pumpkin on and you throw a blazing jack-o'-lantern instead, and everyone else in the lobby has to suit up too. That mode is the one to use for a Halloween session, because it turns the kit into a costume power rather than something everybody can do at once. The Hollow Rider Cloak is worth wearing either way - its tall collar frames the empty neck.
What happens to my head after it lands?
It stays exactly where it stopped, glowing and smoking in the grass, and it is a real object in the world. You can walk over and pick it up with your hands and carry your own head around under your arm, and so can everybody else - a friend grabbing your head and legging it down the street is half the fun. Head Returns By Itself sets how many seconds it waits before it flies home on its own, and that count pauses while somebody is carrying it. Set the slider to 0 if you would rather it stayed put until you whistle. A head that lands in the sea or falls out of the world always comes straight home.
Will it break my game or my save?
No. Nothing about your wobbly's body is changed: the head is hidden from view while it is away, and everything the game does with it - walking, wobbling, being knocked over, getting grabbed - carries on exactly as normal. Your head comes back whenever you whistle, when the timer runs out, or the moment you switch the mod off, and nothing is written to your save. Knocked-over wobblies just pick themselves up, the same as after any other tumble in Wobbly Life. If you want the spectacle without the chaos, turn Impact Power down to 0% and the head burns and lands without moving a thing.
What options does Hollow Ride (Headless Rider Kit) include?
Whistle It Home
Call your head back from anywhere on the island. It lifts off, flies home in a fiery arc and lands back on your shoulders - and if somebody is holding it, they lose it mid-carry.
Change Now
Puts the whole Hollow Rider outfit on - lantern, cloak and boots together. Press again to take it off. You need the Hollow Rider set installed for this to work.
Neck Flame Size
How big the fire out of your neck is while your head is away. 150% is a proper roaring chimney; drop it to 50% for a quiet smoulder, or push it to 400% and you are a walking bonfire.
Flight Time
How many seconds you get to fly your head before gravity takes it back. Eight is a good long run down a street; three keeps it to a quick dart, fifteen is a proper tour of the island.
Steer Your Head
Fly your head while it is in the air. The view goes with it, just behind it, and your look controls turn the head instead of your body - so you can take it round corners, up over rooftops and down onto somebody. Turn it off if you would rather it flew like a thrown ball and the camera stayed on you.
Throw Your Head
Send your head flying at whatever is in the middle of your screen. It burns the whole way there and knocks everything near the landing spot flying. Best mapped to a hotkey.
Costume Required
When on, only a wobbly wearing the Hollow Rider Lantern can take their head off. Leave it off and anybody can, in whatever they happen to be wearing - hat included.
Throw Strength
How hard you throw. 100% clears a front garden and still arcs like a ball; wind it up to 250% and your head crosses the street and keeps going.
Flame Colour
What colour everything burns: your neck, the trail behind your head, the sparks when it lands and the light it throws on the walls. Change it whenever you like - anything already alight switches over.
Head Returns By Itself
How many seconds your head lies where it landed before it comes home on its own. Set it to 0 and it waits until you whistle. The count pauses while somebody is carrying it, and a head that lands in the sea always comes straight home.
