How does Highlight Loose Items decide what to outline?
It outlines every item that's still lying around, which means any item that isn't sitting on a shelf and isn't in your hands. Anything you're carrying is skipped, and anything already on a shelf is left out too, even if it's the wrong shelf, since spotting those is the job of Highlight Wrong Shelves. Outlines stay up for whatever Highlight Duration is set to: 20 seconds by default, adjustable in 5-second steps anywhere between 5 seconds and two minutes. The handy part is that each outline drops off the moment you pick that item up, so as you clear an area the glow shrinks, and whatever is still lit is exactly what's left. When the timer runs out, press the button again for a fresh look.
What counts as a wrong shelf, and why does it matter?
Every shelf in Bunker Tidy Up belongs to a category, and its label turns to show whether it's correct, wrong or complete. Highlight Wrong Shelves outlines every shelf holding something from the wrong category, all at once, so you don't have to walk the whole bunker reading labels. It matters because an item type only counts as Sorted, and only pays its 10 Points, when every copy sits on full, correct-category shelves. One copy parked on the wrong shelf is enough to stop that whole type paying out, and since sorting everything is what opens the bunker door, it can hold up the ending as well. Take the stray item off the outlined shelf and put it somewhere it belongs; if you've bought Right Shelf, it will show you which shelves accept the item in your hands.
What does Show My Progress tell me?
Show My Progress gives you a snapshot of the whole bunker in one summary. It lists how many items are correctly placed out of the total, how many shelves are done out of the total, how many item types are sorted out of the total, how many hidden collectibles you've found out of the total, and how many Points you currently have. Item types sorted is the number to watch if you're heading for the ending, because sorting everything is what opens the bunker door, and each newly sorted type adds 10 Points. The collectibles line tells you whether any hidden collectibles are still out there before you finish. Since it only reports where you stand, you can check it as often as you like.
Does Clutter Radar put items away for me?
No. Clutter Radar is all about seeing the job, not doing it: its highlights and its progress summary never move an item, so on its own it leaves all the shelving to you. If you'd like items shelved automatically in Bunker Tidy Up, that's what Tidy Sweep, another ProjectMods mod for the game, is for. The two fit together neatly, because Tidy Sweep leaves items that are already on shelves alone, even wrong ones, and leaves behind any item that has no free correct shelf.
