</>What does Big Brain do?
Grinding levels in Felingard can drag, especially when one boss is gatekeeping the whole map. Big Brain hands you an experience button: set how much you want, press it, and watch the level-up numbers pop as your cat crosses each threshold. Every level you gain bumps your health and raw power, so a few taps turn a squishy kitten into a proper heavyweight. Set a small amount for a gentle nudge, or a huge one to leap several levels in a single go. Perfect for pushing past a difficulty wall, catching an under-levelled save up to the story, or starting a fresh run already swinging above your weight. Changed your mind? The reset button drops your experience back to zero.
</>What is Big Brain?
Big Brain hands you a dial for your cat's growth in Cat Quest. Set an XP amount, press Give, and watch the levels stack up, raising your health and damage in seconds. Perfect for powering through a brutal boss stretch or starting a fresh save already strong. From ProjectMods, the community-first PC mod manager.
</>Common questions about Big Brain
What does Big Brain do in Cat Quest?
Big Brain lets you pour experience into your cat in Cat Quest whenever you want, so your levels roll in fast and your health and power climb with them. You set how much experience to add, press Give XP, and your cat levels up as it crosses each threshold, exactly the way it would from a big kill or quest reward. It is the quickest way to bulk up before a nasty boss, catch a low-level character back up to the story, or start a fresh save already swinging above your weight. One button does the whole thing.
How much experience does the XP Amount setting add?
The XP Amount setting is the number Big Brain hands your cat each time you press Give XP in Cat Quest. Type a small figure to nudge yourself up a single level, or a large one to leap several levels in one press. Your cat levels up as the running total crosses each threshold, so higher levels still cost more experience than the early ones do. Press Give XP again and again to keep climbing as far as you like. If you overshoot, or simply want a clean slate to rebuild from, the Reset XP button sends your experience back to zero.
Does leveling up with Big Brain raise my health and damage?
Yes. Every level your cat gains in Cat Quest through Big Brain raises your health and your attack power just like a level earned out in Felingard, because each one is a real level rather than a cosmetic number on the screen. Cross enough thresholds and you will feel bosses hit softer and your own sword bite harder. Anything that scales with your level, like the strength of your gear and spells, climbs right along with it. That makes Big Brain a fast way to out-muscle a wall you have been stuck on, without grinding the same pack of enemies for an hour to get past it.
What does the Reset XP button do?
Reset XP sets your cat's experience back to zero in Cat Quest, giving you a clean slate after you have been experimenting with Big Brain. It is handy if you poured in more experience than you meant to and want to dial your character back, or if you are testing how a build feels at a specific level and need a repeatable starting point. Pair it with the XP Amount setting to land on an exact level: reset to zero, then feed in just enough experience to reach the level you want. Reset only touches experience, so your gear, gold, and spells stay exactly where they were.
When is the best time to use Big Brain in Cat Quest?
Big Brain shines any time the level gap is doing the damage instead of your skill. Stuck on a dungeon boss that keeps flattening you? A few presses of Give XP close the gap so the fight comes down to dodging rather than raw numbers. Starting a New Game Plus run and want to skip the slow early hours? Bulk up straight away. It also rescues a save you left half-finished, catching your cat back up to where the Cat Quest story expects you to be. Because you control the XP Amount, you decide whether that is a gentle nudge or a giant leap.
