</>What does Quick Getaway do?
Crime Simulator's houses are big, its streets are bigger, and crouch-walking across a lounge takes an age. Quick Getaway hands you the dials. Move Speed is the one to reach for first. It multiplies how fast you walk, strafe and back up, and because sprinting and crouching build on top of it, it changes how fast you feel in every situation rather than just while you happen to be holding a key. It also lifts the game's own travel ceiling out of the way, so the speed you dial in is the speed you actually get. From there, Run Speed adds more on top while you're sprinting, Crouch Speed lets you creep around a house at nearly full pace, and Jump Height gets you onto walls, balconies and roofs the game never expected you to reach. Every slider goes up to twenty, so you can settle on a brisk, natural-feeling pace or go completely ridiculous. The run, crouch and jump dials multiply your own numbers, so the speed you've earned from your skills and your hideout furniture still counts. Set a slider to 1 and that part behaves normally, and switching the mod off hands every value back to the game exactly as your character had it.
</>What is Quick Getaway?
Crime Simulator's houses are big and its streets are bigger. Quick Getaway hands you four dials, up to twenty times normal: move speed, run speed, crouch speed and jump height. Move speed is the one to reach for first, since it changes how fast you feel everywhere, not just while you hold a key. Free on ProjectMods, the community-first PC mod manager for 400+ games.
</>Common questions about Quick Getaway
What does Quick Getaway do in Crime Simulator?
Quick Getaway gives you four speed dials in Crime Simulator: Move Speed, Run Speed, Crouch Speed and Jump Height, all sitting behind a single Faster Movement switch. Move Speed covers walking, strafing and backing up. Run Speed adds more while you hold your run key, Crouch Speed lets you creep at close to full pace, and Jump Height gets you onto walls, balconies and rooftops. Every dial goes up to twenty times normal, so you can settle on a brisk, natural pace or go completely ridiculous. Flip Faster Movement off and every value goes straight back to the way your character had it.
I turned Quick Getaway on but cannot feel any difference. Which slider should I actually change?
Turn up Move Speed. It is the headline dial in Quick Getaway and the one to reach for first, because sprinting and crouching are both built on top of it. Raise sprint alone and you are only faster while you hold a key; raise Move Speed and you are faster walking, strafing and backing up too. Move Speed also lifts Crime Simulator's own travel ceiling out of the way, so the speed you dial in is the speed you actually get. That ceiling is why nudging Run Speed on its own can feel like nothing happened. Move Speed already starts at 2, so push past that - 3 or 4 is a good first jump - then add Run Speed on top.
Does Quick Getaway cancel out the speed I earned from my skills and hideout furniture?
No. In Crime Simulator, Quick Getaway's Run Speed, Crouch Speed and Jump Height dials multiply your own numbers rather than replacing them, so everything you have earned from your skills and your hideout furniture still counts. A faster character stays faster. Leave any of those three at 1 and that part of your movement behaves exactly as the game intended, which makes it easy to change one thing at a time. Turn the Faster Movement switch off and every value is handed straight back to your character as it was, so nothing you have unlocked is lost or overwritten while the mod is running.
How high can each slider go, and what are the defaults?
Every slider in Quick Getaway goes all the way up to 20, so twenty times normal is the top of the range for Move Speed, Run Speed, Crouch Speed and Jump Height alike. The defaults are deliberately gentle: Move Speed starts at 2, Run Speed and Crouch Speed sit at 1 so sprinting and crouching stay proportional to whatever Move Speed you choose, and Jump Height starts at 1.5. Faster Movement is the master switch above them all. Around 3 or 4 feels brisk and still playable in Crime Simulator, while double digits turns the map into something you cross in seconds.
Why would I raise Crouch Speed or Jump Height?
Crouch Speed is for the part of Crime Simulator where you are creeping across somebody's lounge and it takes an age. Raise it and you can sneak around a house at close to full walking pace, staying low the whole time and cutting a lot of dead time out of a job. It only changes your pace, though, so what people can see and hear is still the game's business - Blind Spot and Mime Mode are the mods for those. Jump Height is the other half of it: turn it up in Quick Getaway and balconies, walls, garage roofs and first-floor windows all become entrances the game never planned for. Pair a modest Jump Height with a high Move Speed and getting in, grabbing the goods and leaving before anyone reacts starts to feel genuinely quick.
What options does Quick Getaway include?
Jump Height
How much higher you jump. Good for reaching balconies and roofs that were never meant to be an entrance.
Run Speed
Extra speed on top of Move Speed while you're holding your run key. Leave it at 1 and sprinting stays proportional to whatever Move Speed you picked.
Crouch Speed
Extra speed on top of Move Speed while crouched. Raise it if you want to creep around a house at nearly full walking pace.
Faster Movement
Master switch for the sliders below. Turn it off and every speed goes straight back to normal.
Move Speed
The main dial. Multiplies how fast you walk, strafe and back up - and because sprinting and crouching build on top of it, this is the one that changes how fast you feel everywhere. Start around 2 and go up from there.
Quick Getaway is a free Crime Simulator mod from ProjectMods that hands you four sliders (move speed, run speed, crouch speed, jump height) going up to twenty times normal, with move speed the one dial that changes how fast you feel everywhere.
System Requirements
What features does Quick Getaway include?
- Dial in Move Speed as your headline pace - it scales walking, strafing and backing up, and it shoves the game's own travel ceiling aside so the pace you pick is the pace you get
- Stack Run Speed on top for sprinting - it multiplies whatever Move Speed you already set rather than replacing it
- Raise Crouch Speed and creep around a house at nearly full walking pace instead of spending an age crossing one lounge
- Push Jump Height past its 1.5 start and reach balconies and rooftops that were never meant to be an entrance
- Slide anything up to 20, leave run, crouch or jump at 1 to keep that part normal, or switch off to go vanilla
Best For
- Anyone tired of the hike between jobs - leave Move Speed at its default 2 and Crime Simulator's long streets stop eating half the night
- Careful burglars sweeping a house room by room - raise Crouch Speed and stay low without crawling across a lounge in slow motion
- Players who have been cornered mid-escape with a full bag - more Move Speed turns a losing police response into a clean exit
- Route-hunters after a way in from above - Jump Height puts walls, balconies and rooftops in reach that the game never marked as doors
- Long-run players deep into their skills and hideout upgrades - run, crouch and jump multiply your own numbers, so every bonus you earned still counts
