</>What does Heavy Hitter do?
Fighting in Graveyard Keeper 2 is a long conversation. Swing, back off, watch your stamina, swing again, repeat until something finally falls over. Heavy Hitter makes that conversation a lot shorter. Turn it on and every hit you land carries far more force behind it, whether you are swinging a sword, jabbing with a spear or loosing an arrow from across the yard. The slider is entirely yours. Leave it low and fights still ask something of you, they just stop dragging. Push it high and you clear the road so you can get back to the graveyard, where the actual work is. It only ever works in your favour. Everything swinging at you still hits for exactly what it always did, and anything that hurts you back when you land a hit hurts you by exactly the same amount as before. Your armour, your stamina, the knockback, the hit sounds, the blood - all of it behaves normally. The only thing that changes is the size of the dent you leave. There is also a One-Hit Takedowns switch for when you are done with fighting altogether. Flip it on and anything you are able to hurt drops from a single clean connection, no matter how much health it was sitting on. A few honest notes. A swing that gets blocked or absorbed still counts for nothing - Heavy Hitter makes your hits bigger, not unblockable. Anything the game never lets you damage in the first place stays that way. And this is your hits only, so allies fighting alongside you swing exactly as they always have. Nothing is written into your save. Switch it off and you are back to normal strength on your very next swing.
</>What is Heavy Hitter?
Fighting in Graveyard Keeper 2 is a long conversation: swing, back off, watch your stamina, swing again. Heavy Hitter makes it a short one. Every sword swing, spear thrust and arrow you land carries far more force, on a slider you set yourself, and nothing out there hits you any harder in return. A One-Hit Takedowns switch handles the rest. Premium mod from ProjectMods.
</>Common questions about Heavy Hitter
What does Heavy Hitter do in Graveyard Keeper 2?
Heavy Hitter puts far more force behind every hit you land in Graveyard Keeper 2, whether you are swinging a sword, jabbing with a spear or loosing an arrow from across the yard. A slider decides how much, so you can leave fights asking something of you while stopping them dragging, or push it high and clear the road so you can get back to the graveyard where the actual work is. Your armour, your stamina, the knockback and the hit sounds all behave normally. The only thing that changes is the size of the dent you leave.
How high can I push the Damage Multiplier?
The slider runs up to 20, and the two ends feel completely different in Graveyard Keeper 2. Around 3 keeps a fight feeling like a fight, just a much shorter one, which is the setting to pick if you still want combat to mean something. Wind it up to 20 and most things will not get a second chance. Heavy Hitter is built to be tuned rather than simply switched on, so it is worth trying a low number first and raising it until fights take as long as you actually want them to. Nothing is written into your save at any setting.
What does One-Hit Takedowns do, and does it work on everything?
One-Hit Takedowns drops anything you are able to hurt in Graveyard Keeper 2 from a single clean connection, whatever it was sitting on for health. Two honest limits come with it. A swing that gets blocked or absorbed still counts for nothing, because Heavy Hitter makes your hits bigger rather than unblockable, so you cannot drop something straight through its cover. And anything the game never lets you damage in the first place - anything immune, and anything with no health to take away - stays exactly that way. Leave the switch off if you still want a fight rather than a formality.
Does anything hit me harder in return?
No. Heavy Hitter only ever works in your favour in Graveyard Keeper 2. Everything swinging at you still hits for exactly what it always did, and anything that hurts you back when you land a hit hurts you by precisely the same amount as before. Your armour, your stamina, the knockback, the hit sounds and the blood all behave normally. If you want the incoming side handled as well, Dead Man Walking is a separate free-tier mod in the ProjectMods catalogue that stops anything taking your health down, and the two run together happily.
Does it boost my zombie workers or anyone fighting alongside me?
No, this is your hits only. Anyone fighting alongside you in Graveyard Keeper 2 swings for exactly what they always have, and your zombie workers are unaffected too, since Heavy Hitter only ever changes the hits that come from you. If it is the crew you want improved, Union Rules is the premium mod in the ProjectMods catalogue that raises their work speed, skill and walking pace. Keeping the two separate means you can make yourself devastating in a fight without quietly rebalancing every other thing that swings something in your graveyard.
What options does Heavy Hitter include?
Damage Multiplier
How much harder you hit. Around 3 keeps a fight feeling like a fight, just a much shorter one. Wind it up to 20 and most things will not get a second chance.
Enabled
Switches the extra force on. Every hit you land carries more weight behind it, and everything swinging at you stays exactly as dangerous as it always was. Turn it off and your next swing is back to normal.
One-Hit Takedowns
Anything you are able to hurt drops from one clean connection, whatever it was sitting on for health. Swings that get blocked or absorbed still do nothing, so you cannot drop something straight through its cover. Leave it off if you still want a fight.
Heavy Hitter is a premium Graveyard Keeper 2 mod on ProjectMods that multiplies the damage of every hit you land, with a slider you control and an optional one-hit takedown switch.
System Requirements
What features does Heavy Hitter include?
- Puts real weight behind every sword swing, spear thrust and arrow you land
- Slide it from a firm shove around three, all the way up to twenty for an absolutely silly wallop
- Nothing hits you any harder in return - everything swinging at you stays exactly as dangerous as before
- One-Hit Takedowns drops anything you are able to hurt from a single clean connection
- A blocked or absorbed swing still counts for nothing, so this makes your hits bigger, not unstoppable
Best For
- Fights that drag on far longer than they are interesting when there is a graveyard waiting
- Clearing a route to a resource spot you walk every day and would rather stop fighting through
- Players who came for the burials, the workbench and the farm and want the combat over quickly
- Wind it low if you still want a fight to ask something of you, just without the long conversation
