Minutes Per Day sets how long one full day lasts. Leave it at five for the normal rhythm, or wind it up to sixty and get an hour of daylight and dark to work with. Game Speed is a separate thing entirely: push it above one to hurry a quiet stretch along, or drop it below one for slow motion when you want to watch something happen properly.
