</>What does World Editor do?
Want a specific item but can't find it? Spawn it. Need a chicken for your farm? Spawn it. Ready for the next story island but it's nowhere in sight? Spawn it. World Editor gives you complete control over Raft's content. The item spawner lets you add any item to your inventory or drop it at your feet - perfect for replacing lost items, testing builds, or just skipping the grind. Set the quantity and go wild. The animal spawner brings any creature to you. Sharks, dolphins, bears, llamas, even story NPCs. Domestic animals spawn pre-tamed so they won't run away. Some animals need land to function properly, so results may vary on your raft. The landmark spawner is the big one. Spawn any story island or location 200-400 meters ahead of your raft. Skip the endless drifting and get straight to the content you want to explore. You are now the game master.
</>What is World Editor?
World Editor is the all-in-one spawner mod for Raft. Three independent panels in the ProjectMods options dropdown let you spawn anything Raft has: items (any quantity into inventory or dropped at your feet), animals (sharks, dolphins, bears, llamas, NPCs, all pre-tamed where applicable), and landmarks (any story island spawned 200-400m ahead of your raft so you can sail straight to it). Built specifically for replays where you don't want to drift for hours, content creators who need a specific encounter on cue, and creative sessions where you want full game-master control. Built in-house by ProjectMods, the community-first game modding platform and desktop app.
</>Common questions about World Editor
What does World Editor do in Raft?
It's a three-in-one spawner. The item spawner lets you pick any item in Raft from a dropdown, set quantity 1-100, and drop it into your inventory or at your feet. The animal spawner places any creature or NPC in front of you (sharks, dolphins, bears, llamas, story NPCs); domestic animals spawn pre-tamed so they don't run away. The landmark spawner is the big one — pick any story island or location and it spawns 200-400 meters ahead of your raft, so you can sail straight to it instead of drifting for hours. All three run through the ProjectMods options panel; click Refresh Lists if a dropdown is missing options.
Can I spawn story islands and skip the drift in Raft?
Yes — that's the most powerful feature in World Editor. Pick any landmark from the dropdown (Vasagatan, Balboa, Caravan Island, Tangaroa, Varuna Point, Temperance, Radio Tower, anything Raft has) and hit Spawn Landmark. The island appears 200-400 meters ahead of your raft, ready to sail to. Useful for replays where you've already done the natural drift progression once, content creators who need to film a specific location, and players who got stuck on a code or mechanic and want to skip ahead to the next story beat. Combine with Story Skipper from ProjectMods for full story-grind bypass.
Does the animal spawner work with sharks and bosses in Raft?
Yes. The animal spawner in World Editor lists every creature in Raft's database, so you can summon sharks, dolphins, bears, llamas, screechers, lurkers, puffers, anglerfish, and even story NPCs. Useful for stress-testing your raft defenses (spawn three sharks to see if your walls hold), achievement hunting (need a specific creature for a kill achievement?), and content creation (specific creatures on cue for video bits). Wild animals don't behave normally if spawned on a raft platform — drop them on islands instead per the in-mod note.
How many items can I spawn at once in Raft?
Up to 100 per Give Item action. The Item Count slider in World Editor ranges 1-100, so a single click adds up to 100 of any chosen item to your inventory. Run the action multiple times if you need more — there's no limit on repeated calls. Useful for stocking up resources before a big build, replacing items you accidentally lost, or just testing recipes without grinding for materials. Run Refresh Lists if items are missing from the dropdown after a Raft update.
Does World Editor work in co-op multiplayer Raft?
Yes — host-side primarily. The host runs the spawn actions and the spawned items/animals/landmarks appear for every player in the session. Items spawned to inventory go to the host's inventory specifically; if a teammate wants items, they need their own World Editor install on their machine. Animals and landmarks affect the shared world, so everyone sees them. Useful for co-op replays where the host is the game master setting up encounters, or chaos sessions where the host spawns sharks and landmarks for fun. Mods can behave differently across Raft patch states; test a short co-op session before long playthroughs.

World Editor is a Raft mod from ProjectMods that lets you spawn anything in the game on demand. Three spawners: Item (any item, any quantity 1-100, into your inventory), Animal (any creature or NPC, including pre-tamed domestics), and Landmark (spawns a story island 200-400m ahead of your raft). Skip the drifting and grab the content you actually want.
System Requirements
What features does World Editor include?
- Three spawners — items (1-100 of anything), animals (every creature + NPCs), landmarks (story islands).
- Skip the long drift between story islands. Spawn the next location 200-400m ahead, sail straight to it.
- Pre-tamed domestic animals spawn ready to use. Wild animals work better on islands than rafts.
Best For
- Replaying Raft and skipping the natural drift progression to specific story islands.
- Content creators who need a specific creature, item, or location on cue for a take.
- Game-master sessions where the host orchestrates encounters and content for co-op teammates.
