</>What does Speed, Jump & Fly do?
Ashenfall is big, and a lot of it is uphill. Walking back to base for the fifth time, or building scaffolding just to reach a roof, gets old fast. Speed, Jump & Fly gives you sliders for Run Speed Percent, Sprint Speed Percent and Mount Speed Percent (50 to 500, default 100, the game's own pace) and Jump Height Percent (50 to 1000, default 100). Instant Acceleration takes away the wind-up, so you hit top speed the moment you press a direction. Switch on Fly and you lift off and pass through walls, rocks and the ground. Space rises, C sinks and your usual movement keys steer. Fly Speed Percent sets your speed in the air as a share of your running speed (50 to 1000, default 200). The Fly Hotkey is off unless you pick V, G, Z or F5 to F8; it then lands you and takes off again without leaving the game. When a flight ends you drop to the ground without taking fall damage. Dying also ends a flight, and it starts again after you respawn while Fly is still on. Turning the mod off puts every speed back and ends any flight.
</>What is Speed, Jump & Fly?
Getting around Dragonwilds takes time. This mod scales your character's own run, sprint, mount and jump stats, can give you full speed the instant you move, and adds a flight mode that ignores walls and terrain, with an optional hotkey to land and take off. Flights end with a safe drop. It changes only your character, saves nothing, and does nothing in a world someone else hosts.
</>Common questions about Speed, Jump & Fly
What does Speed, Jump & Fly do in RuneScape: Dragonwilds?
It lets you change how your character moves. Four sliders scale running, sprinting, riding and jumping, one switch removes the slow build-up to full speed, and a flight mode lets you travel through the air and straight through solid objects whenever the ground gets in the way.
How do I control flying?
Turn on Fly and you are airborne at once; switch it off to land. Steer with your normal movement keys, hold Space to rise and C to sink. Ctrl is left alone because it is the game's dodge key. The Fly Hotkey starts as None. Pick V, G, Z or F5 to F8 and that key lands you and takes off again while the switch stays on. Letter keys also react while you type in chat, and V sorts your inventory, so a function key is the safer choice. Every key is ignored whenever the game window is not in front.
Will I take fall damage from high jumps or after flying?
Not after flying: the fall that follows a flight never counts, however high you were. High jumps are different, because the game's normal fall rules still apply to them. Dragonwilds starts charging fall damage at drops of about 12 metres and your base jump reaches about 1.8, so settings above roughly 650% can hurt when you come down. God Mode's No Fall Damage switch removes that if you run both mods.
Does it work with friends in my world?
Yes, in solo worlds and in worlds you host with friends who are fine with it, and it only changes your own character. In a world someone else hosts, their game is in charge of where you are and would pull you back, so the mod leaves your movement alone there.
What happens if I stop flying inside a rock or underground?
Collision comes back wherever you are, so you could get wedged in a wall or drop below the terrain. Land somewhere open before switching Fly off or pressing the hotkey. If you do get stuck, turn Fly back on, float out and land again.
Does it affect agility course medals?
Yes. Courses are timed by the game's own clock, so faster running and higher jumps shorten your time, and the game awards gold medals and the Medal Winner and Medal Collector achievements as usual. Flying is less useful there: it turns your collision off, so the course's checkpoints may not notice you passing. Switch the mod off first if you want a time set on foot.
What options does Speed, Jump & Fly include?
Fly
You fly and pass through walls, rocks and the ground. Space rises and C sinks. Switch it off to land.
Sprint Speed Percent
Your sprinting pace. 100 is the game's own speed, 200 is twice as fast.
Fly Hotkey
An optional key that lands you and takes off again while Fly is on. None leaves it to the Fly switch. Letter keys also react while you type in chat, and V sorts your inventory, so F5 to F8 are the safer picks.
Instant Acceleration
You reach full speed the moment you press a direction, walking, sprinting or riding.
Mount Speed Percent
How fast your mount runs and sprints. 100 is the game's own speed.
Run Speed Percent
Your normal running pace. 100 is the game's own speed, 200 is twice as fast.
Fly Speed Percent
Flying speed as a percentage of your running speed.
Jump Height Percent
How high you jump. 100 is the game's own height, 1000 is ten times higher. Above about 650 a jump can end in fall damage.
Speed, Jump & Fly is a ProjectMods mod for RuneScape: Dragonwilds that scales your running, sprinting, riding and jump height, removes acceleration wind-up and lets you fly through walls with Space and C.
System Requirements
What features does Speed, Jump & Fly include?
- Run, sprint, mount and jump sliders scale the game's own stats, so perks and buffs that change them still stack on top.
- Instant Acceleration raises the acceleration the game uses for walking and sprinting, and riding picks it up too.
- Fly turns off your collision and switches you to flying physics, so you can drift through cliffs, buildings and caves.
- The fly keys and the Fly Hotkey only respond while the game window is in front.
- The drop after a flight is excused from fall damage until you touch the ground.
Best For
- Making the long trip back to base, so set Run Speed Percent and Sprint Speed Percent to 200 and the walk takes half the time.
- Building a tall tower or a cliffside base, so switch on Fly and float up to the top floor instead of placing scaffolding.
- Getting onto a ledge a normal jump falls short of, so set Jump Height Percent to 300.
- Crossing the map on your mount, so raise Mount Speed Percent to 200 and every ride takes half as long.
