</>What does Deep Pockets do?
The currency you carry out of a run is what buys your permanent upgrades back at base camp, and early on there is never enough of it. Deep Pockets fills your purse so you can go straight to the upgrades you actually want to try. Set an amount, press Fill Purse, and the money lands immediately. The counter on screen updates right away, so the shop sees it, your save keeps it, and nothing has to be reloaded. There is a live readout showing exactly what you are carrying, and an Empty Purse button if you want to wipe it back to nothing and earn your way up again. Great for trying builds you would otherwise take many runs to reach, or for getting a new group onto an even footing before a session together.
</>What is Deep Pockets?
Deep Pockets tops up the money you keep between runs in Stonewards, the co-op dwarf mining and defense roguelite, so base camp upgrades stop being a grind. Set an amount, press Fill Purse, and the counter updates straight away, or use Empty Purse to wipe it and earn your way back up. Built in-house by ProjectMods, the community-first PC mod manager.
</>Common questions about Deep Pockets
What does Deep Pockets do in Stonewards?
Deep Pockets tops up the currency you carry out of a Stonewards run, which is the money that buys permanent upgrades back at base camp. You set an amount, press Fill Purse, and it lands immediately: the counter on screen moves, the base camp shop can spend it, and your save keeps it without a reload. A live readout called In Your Purse shows exactly what you are carrying, and Empty Purse wipes the total back to zero if you would rather earn it the long way. It is one of the Stonewards mods ProjectMods builds in-house for its desktop app.
How does the Fill Purse button work?
Fill Purse is the button that does the work in Deep Pockets, handing over whatever number sits in the Amount box, once per press. Press it twice and you get that amount twice, so you can start small, see how far it goes toward the upgrade you are eyeing, and top up again rather than guessing a huge figure up front. The money arrives instantly while you are playing Stonewards: the purse counter moves, the base camp shop will spend it, and it carries into your next run exactly like currency you mined for yourself. Nothing needs restarting, and no menu has to be closed and reopened.
Does the money stay after my run ends?
Yes. Deep Pockets adds to the currency Stonewards keeps between runs, not the resources you lose when a run ends, so it is still there when you come back tomorrow. Spend it at base camp on upgrades that carry into every future run and the progress sticks. That is worth thinking about before you type a huge number: fill your purse too generously and the upgrade tree opens faster than you may have wanted, which is hard to un-see. Empty Purse exists for exactly that moment, setting your total back to zero so you can earn it properly.
Can I choose how much Deep Pockets gives me?
Yes. The Amount box is entirely yours to set and Fill Purse hands over exactly that figure each press, so there is no fixed payout to work around. Drip small top-ups to nudge yourself over the price of one Stonewards upgrade, or drop a single large lump if you want the whole tree open for a build test. The In Your Purse readout shows what you are carrying right now, so you can check the total before and after instead of guessing. Overshot? Empty Purse resets you to zero and you can start the whole thing again.
Why would a co-op group use Deep Pockets?
Getting everyone onto even footing is the usual reason. Stonewards is better with a crew who can all pull their weight, and a friend joining weeks after everyone else is stuck without the permanent upgrades the rest of the group already bought. If they are running Deep Pockets too, one top-up skips that catch-up and gets the whole crew underground together. Solo, the reason is build testing: an upgrade path can cost several runs worth of currency, so trying one normally means committing evenings before you know whether it suits you. This turns that into a single session.
What options does Deep Pockets include?
Empty Purse
Sets your money back to zero if you would rather earn it.
Amount
How much to add each time you press Fill Purse.
In Your Purse
How much you are carrying right now.
Fill Purse
Adds the amount above to the money you keep between runs.
Deep Pockets is a Stonewards mod from ProjectMods that fills the purse you carry between runs, so the permanent upgrades back at base camp are one purchase away instead of several grinding sessions.
System Requirements
What features does Deep Pockets include?
- Set any amount and press Fill Purse to drop that money straight into the purse you keep between runs.
- Watch the counter update the moment it lands, so the upgrade shop sees the new total right away.
- Check a live readout of what you are carrying before you decide how much more to add.
- Wipe it back to zero with Empty Purse when you would rather earn the next tier yourself.
- Keep the money in your save, so it is still sitting there next time you sit down.
Best For
- Players who keep losing on the same early maps and need the permanent upgrades that make later ones survivable.
- Anyone eyeing a build three tiers up the upgrade tree who does not have ten more runs in them tonight.
- Groups where one friend has fifty hours and the newcomer has two, evening everyone out before a session together.
- Returning players on a fresh save who would rather not re-earn progress they already put the hours into once.
- Solo players with one hour spare who want that hour spent on the run, not on funding it.
