</>What does Bottomless Basket (Carry More Items) do?
Hands full, half the aisle still on the floor, and another walk to the shelf and back. Object taker fixes that one paid level at a time. Bottomless Basket skips the wait. Switch on Enabled and set Carry Limit anywhere from 1 to 500 (it starts at 50). That's how many items you can hold before you need to find a shelf. It only ever raises your limit: if Object taker already lets you carry more than Carry Limit, you keep the bigger number. Switch Enabled off and you're back on Object taker's limit. While it's on, your times stay off the global leaderboards until you next restart the game.
</>What is Bottomless Basket (Carry More Items)?
In Better Chaos, how much you can carry depends on your Object taker level, and every level costs money. Bottomless Basket is a free ProjectMods mod that lets you pick the number yourself with Carry Limit, behind one Enabled switch. It doesn't make you faster, pick anything up for you or touch your power levels. It only changes how much fits in your hands.
</>Common questions about Bottomless Basket (Carry More Items)
What does Bottomless Basket do in Better Chaos?
It makes your hands bigger. Instead of trudging to a shelf every few items, you can gather up a whole area first and sort it in one go. On the bigger maps, where a full run means thousands of items, that's a lot of walking you never have to do.
What happens to the items I'm holding if I switch it off?
You keep them. Bottomless Basket never takes anything out of your hands; it only puts your limit back to what Object taker gives. If you're holding more than that, you can't pick anything else up until you've shelved enough to get back under it, and the hand counter shows how far over you are.
Does it help Aisle Autopilot?
Yes. Aisle Autopilot needs a free space in your hands for every item it shelves, so it pauses whenever you're carrying a full load yourself. With a high Carry Limit your hands rarely fill, and it can keep working through the floor around you while you haul your own armful over to a shelf.
Will my map times count with it on?
Not for that game session. Bottomless Basket is a carrying advantage, so from the moment Enabled goes on, every time you set until you quit Better Chaos stays off the global leaderboards. That holds at any Carry Limit, even one lower than your Object taker already allows, and switching it off doesn't lift it. Your placements, money and power levels are saved as normal. When a time matters, launch the game fresh and leave the mod off.
What options does Bottomless Basket (Carry More Items) include?
Enabled
Raises how many items you can hold. Turn it off to go back to the limit your Object taker power gives.
Carry Limit
How many items you can carry at once. Never lower than the game's own limit.
Bottomless Basket is a ProjectMods mod for Better Chaos that raises how many items you can hold at once, up to 500, so you spend less time walking back and forth to the shelves.
System Requirements
What features does Bottomless Basket (Carry More Items) include?
- The hand counter on screen shows your real limit after the slash, so you can see exactly when you're full.
- Object taker still matters: buy a level mid-run and, if it beats your Carry Limit, the new level takes over.
- The raised limit carries over when you move to a different map, with nothing to switch on again.
Best For
- First trip round Map 1 with no Object taker levels yet. The default 50 lets you pick up everything around you before you go looking for shelves.
- A long stretch of one product with its shelf right at the far end. Set Carry Limit to 200 and make that walk once.
- Item magnet keeps stalling because your hands fill mid-pull. Give it room with Carry Limit at 100, and add Mega Magnet if it's the pull radius you're short of.
- You want a bit of help without breaking the game. Keep Carry Limit a handful above what Object taker gives you now and nudge it up as you go.
