</>What does Angler's Luck do?

Fishing is one of the calmer things you can do in Graveyard Keeper 2, right up until it isn't. You pull half a second too early and the whole cast is wasted. You take your time with something big, the line draws tight, and it gives way. Or the bite comes while you're rummaging through your bag, and by the time you look up the water is flat again. Angler's Luck takes the losing out of it. Switch it on and whatever bites stays with you - every way a fish gets away is covered by that one switch. An early pull no longer spooks anything. A bite waits as long as you need it to. The line will not give way however long the fight runs. And the fish can't drag your line out to the far end and vanish. You still play the reel-in the normal way, pulling while it's calm and easing off while it's thrashing, you just don't come away empty-handed. There's one optional extra too. Reel In Instantly skips the tug-of-war entirely: you still pull once to hook the fish when it bites, and the moment it's hooked, it's already in your hands. Handy when you need a kitchen's worth of fish and not a kitchen's worth of afternoon. Leave it off and you keep the whole reel-in, just without the losing. One honest note. This changes whether you land the fish, not which fish turns up. What bites still comes down to your bait, the time of day and whatever is actually living in that water, and what you pull out is exactly what you would have pulled out anyway. Angler's Luck is about keeping it, not upgrading it. Everything goes back to normal the second you switch it off. The water goes straight back to punishing an early pull exactly as it always did, with nothing left behind in your save.

</>What is Angler's Luck?

Angler's Luck takes the losing out of fishing in Graveyard Keeper 2. One switch covers every way a catch gets away - an early pull, a bite you missed, the fish running your line out, and the line giving way - so whatever bites stays with you until you land it. Reel In Instantly is the optional extra that lands the fish the moment you hook it. It changes whether you keep the catch, not which fish turns up. </>Common questions about Angler's Luck

What does Angler's Luck do in Graveyard Keeper 2?

Angler's Luck keeps whatever bites on your line in Graveyard Keeper 2 until you actually land it. One switch covers every way a catch gets away. Pulling too early no longer spooks the fish. A bite waits as long as you need before you react to it. The line will not give way however long the fight runs. And the fish can't drag your line out to the far end and vanish. You still play the reel-in the normal way, easing off while the fish thrashes and pulling while it is calm, you just stop coming away empty-handed. One optional extra, Reel In Instantly, is there for when you would rather skip the fight altogether. Turn the mod off and fishing goes straight back to the way the game shipped it.

Does Angler's Luck stop my fishing line snapping?

Yes. That is part of the main Angler's Luck switch, not a separate option you need to go and find in the list. A line drawn out to full strain is one of the ways a fish gets away from you in Graveyard Keeper 2, so it is covered the moment you switch the mod on, alongside an early pull, a bite you missed and the fish running your line out. With it on, the line is held well short of breaking no matter how long the fight runs, so you can take an unhurried run at something big instead of rushing the reel-in and losing it anyway. Nothing about it sticks to your save. Switch Angler's Luck off and the line goes back to drawing tight and giving way exactly as it always did.

Does Angler's Luck change which fish I catch?

No. Angler's Luck changes whether you keep the fish, not which fish turns up. What bites still comes down to your bait, the time of day and whatever actually lives in that stretch of water in Graveyard Keeper 2, and the fish you pull out is exactly the one you would have pulled out anyway. There is no rarity boost hiding in here. If you want better fish you still have to fish the right spot with the right bait at the right hour. What you gain is that a good bite stops turning into a wasted cast because you looked away at the wrong moment.

Can I turn off just part of Angler's Luck?

Angler's Luck has two switches in the ProjectMods launcher. Enabled is the master switch and it is the whole promise on its own: whatever bites stays with you, whether you pulled early, missed the bite, took too long or let the fish run your line out. Reel In Instantly is the optional extra that removes the fight altogether: you still hook the fish yourself when it bites, and it is landed the moment you do. It works on its own, so you can run either switch without the other. Run the master switch by itself and fishing in Graveyard Keeper 2 still plays out completely normally, just without the losses. Switch both off and the water goes back to punishing an early pull exactly as it always did, with nothing left behind in your save.

When is Reel In Instantly worth using?

Reel In Instantly earns its keep when you need a kitchen's worth of fish and not a kitchen's worth of afternoon. Cooking, town orders and selling in Graveyard Keeper 2 can all ask for a stack of fish at once, and playing out every single reel-in for that turns into a long evening at the water. Flip the switch on, cast, hook the bite, and the fish is landed on the spot. Flip it back off when you want the minigame again. It works on its own, but it pairs well with Enabled: keep that on too and a bite can't be wasted before the instant landing gets its chance.

What options does Angler's Luck include?

Reel In Instantly

Skips the tug-of-war completely. You still pull once to hook a fish when it bites, as normal - and the moment it's hooked, it's landed. Works on its own, and pairs with Enabled if you also want an early pull or a missed bite to stop costing you the fish. Handy when you want a stack of fish without a long evening at the water.

Enabled

Turns Angler's Luck on. Whatever bites stays with you - pulling early no longer spooks it, a bite waits as long as you need, the line will not give way however long you take, and the fish can't drag your line all the way out and disappear. Switch it off for normal fishing.

Quick Answer

Angler's Luck is a free Graveyard Keeper 2 mod from ProjectMods that stops you losing a fish. Switch it on and every way a catch gets away is covered at once: pulling too early, a bite you didn't react to, the fish running your line out to the far end, and the line giving way. Whatever bites stays with you until you land it.

What features does Angler's Luck include?

  • Every way a fish gets away is covered by the one master switch - flip it on and you're done
  • An early pull no longer spooks the fish, and a bite waits as long as you need before you react
  • The line holds well short of breaking, and the fish can't run your line out to the far end and vanish
