Some Otherworld Legends floors you've genuinely cleared a hundred times. Tempo Master hands you the clock: anywhere from a quarter speed up to eight times normal, changed whenever you feel like it. Above 1x everything moves together — your hero, the enemies, the animations, the entire floor. Nothing drifts out of step. It's just the same run at a brisker pace, which turns a warm-up floor into a couple of minutes. Below 1x is the underrated half. Drop to a quarter speed and a boss pattern you've never been able to read becomes obvious, or a dodge that's over in a blink becomes something a viewer can actually see on camera. Pause menus are deliberately left at normal speed, so you're not wrestling a hyperactive interface when you stop to pick a relic. Two is a comfortable jog, four turns early floors into a formality. It's a free-tier mod and it's best kept to solo runs, because changing one player's clock in a co-op dungeon doesn't go well for the rest of the table. Switch it off and the game is back to normal instantly.

Above 1x it turns the early floors you've cleared a hundred times into a couple of minutes. Below 1x everything slows down, which is genuinely useful for learning a boss pattern or lining up a clip where a dodge needs to read clearly on camera. Turning Custom Speed off restores normal speed straight away.
How fast or slow can Tempo Master actually go?
Tempo Master runs from 0.25x to 8x. One is normal. Two is a comfortable jog and a sensible place to start for the warm-up floors — quick enough to save real time, slow enough that you can still play properly. Four turns a floor you know inside out into a couple of minutes, though your reactions have to keep up. Eight is for crossing ground rather than fighting on it. Going the other way, 0.5x makes a boss pattern readable in a way it simply isn't at full speed, and 0.25x is slow enough to study a single attack in detail.
Does Tempo Master speed up the enemies too, or just me?
Everything together. Tempo Master moves the whole Otherworld Legends clock, so at 2x your hero, the enemies, their projectiles and every animation are all running at double pace — it's a fast-forward, not an advantage. That's exactly the point: floors you've already mastered go by faster without the fight itself becoming easier or harder, and a run cleared at 4x is the same run you'd have cleared at normal speed. It also means the slow settings are honest practice rather than an easy mode: at 0.5x the boss is slower, but so are you.
Does the pause menu speed up as well?
No — pause menus are deliberately left alone. Otherworld Legends still stops the world properly when you open the menu, however high or low you've set Game Speed, so you're not trying to read your relic list at 8x or waiting four times as long for a menu at 0.25x. That was a specific decision rather than an accident: the point of Tempo Master is to change the pace of the game you're playing, not the pace of the interface you use to manage it. Turning Custom Speed off puts everything back to normal immediately.
Should I use Tempo Master in co-op?
Keep Tempo Master to solo runs. Changing your own clock in an Otherworld Legends co-op session doesn't go well for the rest of the table — you're effectively playing at a different pace to everyone else in the same room, and it looks wrong from their side. It's at its best when you're alone: sprint the warm-up floors, drop below 1x when you reach the boss you're actually trying to learn, and turn Custom Speed off when you're done. For playing with friends, leave the dial at normal and let the group set the pace.
