How does adding franchise levels work?
Set Levels To Add to the number of levels you want, then press Add Levels. Rather than jamming a number into your profile, the mod steps your progress up one level at a time so everything PlateUp! ties to your franchise level stays in step with it - the bar and the level agree with each other when it finishes. Press again to add more; there is no cooldown and no limit on how many times you use it in a session. The Current Level readout shows where you are, so you can add a couple, check the number, and add a couple more.
Should I add a lot of levels at once or go gradually?
Either works. Levels To Add takes whatever number you give it, so you can add one level at a time and watch the readout climb, or set a large number and take a big jump in a single press. Adding gradually is worth doing the first time simply because you get to see where each level lands you before committing to more - franchise progression in PlateUp! opens things up steadily rather than all at once, and it is easy to overshoot past the part you actually wanted to play. If you do overshoot, the levels you added are yours; there is no undo button.
What does the Current Level panel show?
It shows your live PlateUp! franchise level in the mod panel, updating as you add to it. That is more useful than it sounds: franchise progression is normally something you glance at between runs, and when you are adding levels deliberately you want to see the number move rather than guess. Use it to confirm the last press landed, to decide how many more to add, and to check where you have ended up before you start a run. It is display only - Levels To Add and the Add Levels button are the two controls that actually change anything.
Why would I use Fast Track Franchise?
The usual reason is coming back. PlateUp! is a game people drift away from and return to, and restarting at a low franchise level after you have already put the hours in once is a deflating way to begin. Fast Track Franchise puts you back where you feel you should be so you can get on with cooking. It is also the practical answer if you want to try the deeper end of the game without committing to the long climb first. It applies to your own progress, in single-player and when you are hosting the lobby.
