</>What does Shark Bait (Force Attack) do?
Sharks in Raft are supposed to be scary. They circle your raft menacingly, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. But what if YOU want to decide when the chaos happens? Shark Bait gives you the power to command every shark in the area to attack your raft immediately. Testing your defenses? Want to see how fast you can repair? Just feeling chaotic? Press the button and watch the fins converge. If a shark decides to swim away mid-attack (they do that sometimes), just press the button again. They'll come back. They always come back. Note: We are not responsible for any rafts destroyed, resources lost, or friendships ended by inappropriate shark summoning.
</>What is Shark Bait (Force Attack)?
Raft's vanilla shark behavior is timed and predictable — the shark circles, occasionally bites, and you mostly know when chaos is coming. Shark Bait (Force Attack) hands you the trigger. Toggle Attach My Raft and every shark in the area immediately aggros on your raft, biting until you toggle off. Built for stress-testing defenses (does your wall actually hold against three sharks?), choreographed content moments (perfect timing for a shark attack on stream), and pure chaos value (a friend's quiet build session getting interrupted). Toggle off when done; sharks resume normal behavior. Built in-house by ProjectMods, the community-first game modding platform and desktop app.
</>Common questions about Shark Bait (Force Attack)
What does Shark Bait (Force Attack) do in Raft?
It forces every shark in the area to immediately attack your raft. Toggle Attach My Raft in the ProjectMods options panel and the sharks drop whatever they were doing — circling, swimming away, ignoring you — and converge on your raft to bite. They keep biting until you toggle off, at which point they resume normal Raft behavior. Useful for stress-testing your raft's defenses, choreographing dramatic shark moments for content, or summoning pure chaos when a friend's quiet build session needs interrupting. The mod doesn't spawn new sharks; it just commands the existing ones to be aggressive on cue.
Can I use Shark Bait to test my raft defenses?
Yes — that's one of the core use cases. Toggle Attach My Raft in Shark Bait and every shark currently in your area attacks the raft simultaneously. You get an instant stress test on your wall placement, foundation reinforcement, and shark-deterrent setup without waiting for a randomly-timed vanilla bite. Useful when you've just finished a build and want to confirm it survives, or when you're tuning a hardcore session and want to know your defenses hold. Toggle off as soon as you've gathered the data and sharks return to passive circling.
What if a shark wanders away mid-attack?
Sometimes Raft's AI lets a shark disengage mid-attack and swim off — it's vanilla shark behavior. With Shark Bait's Attach My Raft toggle still on, just toggle it off and back on, and the shark re-aggros immediately. They always come back. Useful when you're trying to capture a sustained attack moment for filming, or when stress-testing requires continuous pressure. The mod doesn't track individual shark state; every toggle-on event sends a fresh aggro command to all sharks in the area.
Will Shark Bait destroy my raft permanently?
It can if you leave it on long enough. The sharks deal vanilla damage at vanilla rates — Shark Bait just makes the damage happen on demand instead of on a timer. So if you toggle on and walk away, your raft can absolutely lose foundations and walls to a sustained attack. Toggle off as soon as you've made your point, repair the damage with normal materials, and you're back to vanilla. Pair it with the Immortal Survival mod from ProjectMods or build with reinforced walls if you want to survive a long forced-attack session. Use deliberately, not as background noise.
Does Shark Bait work in co-op multiplayer Raft?
Yes — host-side. Whoever runs the Raft session controls the shark commands, and the attacks affect every player on the raft. Other players don't need the Shark Bait mod installed; they just experience the chaos directly. Useful for surprise stream moments where the host triggers an attack on cue, co-op stress-tests where everyone wants to validate the raft together, or pure trolling when a teammate is mid-build. Mods can behave differently across Raft patch states though, so test a short co-op session before pulling this trick on a long-running save.
What options does Shark Bait (Force Attack) include?
Attach My Raft!
Makes all sharks immediately try to bite your raft. Turn OFF when you've had enough!
