</>What does Glass Cannon do?
When a Stonewards wave outscales your build, there is not much to do but watch the wall come down. Glass Cannon gives you the numbers to argue back. Overall Power lifts everything you do at once, while Melee, Bow and Magic each have their own dial so you can sharpen only the weapon your class actually uses. An archer can leave melee untouched, a fighter can ignore magic, and nobody has to inflate a stat they never use. Extra Crit Chance stacks straight onto your chance of landing a big hit, which is the difference between chipping at an elite and deleting it. All of it applies to your own dwarf only, so in co-op you can be the heavy hitter without quietly rewriting everyone else's run. None of it happens until you switch Harder Hits on, and turning it back off puts your real numbers straight back.
</>What is Glass Cannon?
Glass Cannon lifts your damage in Stonewards with one overall dial plus separate sliders for melee, bow and magic, so an archer can sharpen arrows without inflating a stat they never use. Extra Crit Chance stacks on top, turning chip damage on an elite into a deletion. It applies to your own dwarf only, so co-op partners keep their real numbers. Free tier from ProjectMods.
</>Common questions about Glass Cannon
What does Glass Cannon do in Stonewards?
Glass Cannon raises how hard you hit in Stonewards. One Overall Power dial lifts everything at once, and separate Melee, Bow and Magic sliders let you sharpen only the weapon your class actually uses. Extra Crit Chance stacks on top of your normal chance of landing a big hit, which is often the difference between chipping at an elite and deleting it. Everything applies to your own dwarf, so a co-op partner keeps their real numbers. Nothing happens until you switch Harder Hits on, and you can pull any dial back to normal whenever you like. It is a free-tier mod on the ProjectMods desktop app, a community-first PC mod manager for 400+ games.
What is the difference between Overall Power and the individual weapon dials?
Overall Power is the blunt tool in Glass Cannon: it lifts all of your Stonewards damage together, whatever you happen to be holding. The Melee, Bow and Magic sliders are surgical, each raising only that damage type. Most players pick one approach rather than both. An archer can leave Overall Power alone and push Bow, so nothing about their melee or spells changes, while somebody who swaps weapons constantly is better served by the single overall dial. They do stack if you use them together, so start modest and add rather than maxing both and wondering why a wave evaporated at the gate.
Does Glass Cannon change my friends' damage in co-op?
No. Glass Cannon only touches your own dwarf, so everyone else in a Stonewards session keeps the damage numbers the game gave them. That means you can be the heavy hitter in a group without quietly rewriting anybody else's run, and nobody has to agree to it beforehand. It also makes the mod useful for carrying: a stronger player can hold the wave at the gate while newer dwarves learn the map, and those newer dwarves still get a real fight when they take a swing. Friends who want the same thing install it themselves from ProjectMods.
How high can I set Extra Crit Chance?
Glass Cannon runs Extra Crit Chance from 0, which is untouched, up to 1, which means every single hit lands as a critical. It is added on top of whatever chance your Stonewards build already has, so it is not a replacement for your gear or class bonuses, it stacks with them. Somewhere in the middle is usually more fun than the top: a chance of a big hit keeps fights unpredictable, while every hit critting flattens the difference between a lucky swing and a normal one. Drop it back to zero, or switch the mod off, and your normal crit chance returns.
Which dials should I use for my class?
Match the Glass Cannon dials to whatever you actually swing. A Stonewards archer wants Bow Damage and can leave Melee and Magic exactly where they are. A frontline fighter holding the gate wants Melee, and a caster wants Magic, because there is no reason to inflate a number you never use. Extra Crit Chance suits everyone, since every damage type benefits from a bigger hit landing more often. If you genuinely swap between all three during a run, skip the individual sliders and use Overall Power on its own so one dial covers the lot rather than three fighting for credit.

System Requirements
What features does Glass Cannon include?
- Lift everything at once with Overall Power, or leave it alone and tune one weapon type instead.
- Sharpen melee, bow and magic on their own dials, so an archer can pour everything into arrows and leave the rest alone.
- Stack extra crit chance on top of your own, turning a long fight against an elite into a short one.
- Affects your own dwarf only, so you can play the heavy hitter without changing the fight for everyone else.
- Push it far enough and a wave that used to break the gate falls apart on the approach.
Best For
- Players stuck on a wave that outscales their build, with no run left to farm the upgrade that fixes it.
- Archers who want arrows to matter at wave ten without touching their melee or magic numbers at all.
- Co-op crews where one dwarf plays the damage role and everyone else keeps their side of the run honest.
- Anyone testing whether a spell build is worth committing an evening to before actually committing the evening.
- Groups on a short night who want to reach the later waves and see them, not grind toward them.
