</>What does Quarry King do?
Half of Stonewards is swinging a pick at rock, and between waves there is never quite enough time to get what you need. Quarry King fixes the pace. Dig Power decides how hard your normal swings bite, and Heavy Swing Power does the same for your big charged hit. Push them up and tunnels open in a fraction of the usual time, which completely changes how much ground you can cover before the horn sounds. Extra Resources Per Dig adds to the haul from every block, so you walk back to the forge with the materials for the upgrade you actually wanted instead of just enough for the boring one. Each dial moves on its own, so you can push just the part that bothers you and drop the rest back to neutral — 1x on the two swing dials, 0 on the extra materials. Turn the mod off and your dwarf goes straight back to their real numbers.
</>What is Quarry King?
Half of Stonewards is swinging a pick, and the window between waves is short. Quarry King puts Dig Power, Heavy Swing Power and Extra Resources Per Dig on separate dials, so tunnels open in a fraction of the time and you walk back to the forge with materials for the upgrade you actually wanted. </>Common questions about Quarry King
What does Quarry King do in Stonewards?
Quarry King speeds up the mining half of a Stonewards run. Dig Power decides how hard your normal swings bite into rock, Heavy Swing Power does the same for your big charged hit, and Extra Resources Per Dig adds to the haul from every block you break. Push them up and tunnels open in a fraction of the usual time, which changes how much ground you can cover before the horn sounds. Each dial moves on its own, so you can raise one and leave the rest where they are, and nothing changes until Stronger Digging is switched on. It's one of the free mods on the ProjectMods desktop app, a community-first PC mod manager for 400+ games across Unity, Unreal, and Godot.
What is the difference between Dig Power and Heavy Swing Power?
They cover your two mining attacks, and Quarry King gives each one its own dial. Dig Power applies to the normal swings you spend most of a Stonewards dig doing, tapping through a seam. Heavy Swing Power applies to the big charged hit, the one you wind up for. Because they are separate dials you can decide which style the mod rewards: raise Dig Power alone and ordinary mining flies while charged swings stay a deliberate choice, or raise Heavy Swing Power alone and the charged hit becomes a proper wall-remover worth waiting for. Raising both is fine too, and turns a rock face into a formality.
Does Extra Resources Per Dig work on every block?
Quarry King adds to the materials that come out of the blocks you break, so anything that normally gives you something gives you more. The dial bottoms out at 0, which is untouched, and climbs from there. It is an addition on top of the game's own yield rather than a replacement for it, so rarer seams still behave like rarer seams. The practical result is that you walk back to the Stonewards forge with the materials for the upgrade you actually wanted rather than just enough for the boring one. Pair it with a bigger pack from Lucky Strike so the extra has somewhere to go.
How do I put mining back to normal?
Flip the Stronger Digging switch off and everything returns at once, so your dwarf goes straight back to their real Stonewards numbers with no need to remember where each slider was. If you would rather keep the mod on but soften it, every dial has a neutral position instead: Dig Power and Heavy Swing Power at 1x behave exactly like the base game, and Extra Resources Per Dig at 0 adds nothing. That means you can run Quarry King with only the charged swing raised, or only the yield raised, and the rest of the mining loop is untouched.
Why does faster mining matter so much in Stonewards?
Because a Stonewards run is on a clock. The gap between waves is short, and everything you want to build depends on what you carry back inside it. A normal dig means choosing between going deep for the good materials or getting home before the horn sounds. Quarry King removes that choice, so you can push further, break more, and still be at the wall in time. That has knock-on effects, since better materials mean better forge output, which means the next wave is easier. Swift Anvil is the natural follow-up if you find the forge, rather than the mining, has become the slow part.

System Requirements
What features does Quarry King include?
- Turn up Dig Power so normal swings bite deep and tunnels open in a fraction of the usual time.
- Give your big charged swing its own dial, so the heavy hit stays worth winding up for.
- Pull extra materials out of every block you break and walk back with the upgrade you actually wanted.
- Adjust each dial on its own, so you can fix only the part of mining that bothers you.
- Drop back to normal digging the second you switch it off, with nothing left behind.
Best For
- Players who spend the whole gap between waves digging and still reach the forge short of materials.
- Groups where one dwarf is the designated miner and wants to keep the entire crew supplied alone.
- Anyone chasing a deep vein who does not want the trip down there to eat the whole round.
- Solo runs where nobody else is swinging a pick and the wave timer does not care about that.
- Players who love the defending far more than the digging and want to get to it quicker.
